Tumbling Numbers
There are two sets of cards provided, depending on the skill level of the students you are working with. The first set goes from 1-16 and you can use any
combination of them that you’d like (as long as you use at least 12 numbers) and the second set is a
random set of 16 numbers ranging from 1-100. You can also choose to put both sets together.
Cut out the cards (you can laminate then first if you’d like) after printing them on card stock for durability. Place all the cards in a paper bag.
The students will shake the bag, and follow the instructions on the “Tumbling Numbers” worksheet. They might be asked to take out any 4, 6 or 12 number cards from the bag. Then they must
arrange the numbers in order (least to greatest) and write their answers as neatly as they can on their sheet. Then they toss them back in, “Shake like
crazy” and continue the sheet.
