In studying how technology can enhance narrative for learning using digital graphic

novels, we define narratives for learning as a series of respondents’ real life

experience, given in order and with established connections between them. The

experiences must be filtered, abstracted, and enhanced to produce a solid learning

content. As such, this study examines methods in abstracting the narratives and

enhancing it with the help of technology to produce a DGN. The DGN is to be used as

a tool to overcome one of the many problems in teaching and learning difficult

courses at higher degree level. In order to do so, the contents of the narratives must

first be analysed, converted into DGN, and then be evaluated for its effectiveness. So

that in the end, we can prove that DGN is one of a legal and legitimate learning tool

to be utilized in the form of teaching materials, assignments, or any other tangible

learning objects such as the one adopted by The University of Colorado. In fact the

university provides its own massive open online courses (MOOCs) on comics and

graphic novels via Coursera (https://www.coursera.org/course/comics).

Great changes require a powerful hand to guide
