Requirements You must be in either Transition Year or 5th Year, willing to sign a participation and media release form (including parental consent), participate in all meetings (one video conference in each of October, November, December and January as well as three onsite meetings in Dublin in November, December and January), upload a video of your final talk and submit a survey form at the end of the cycle. Receive an official TED-Ed club Certificate of Achievement? Would you like to: Present a TED-style talk on a topic you are passionate about in the historic Mansion House on 22 January 2019? Develop some 21st century skills: collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking? Enhance your presentation/public speaking skills? Have access to a TED-Ed Clubs workbook and various TED-Ed events? Have the opportunity to connect and share ideas with students around the country and the world? Then join the Oireachtas TED-Ed Club. The Oireachtas Education Unit is giving a voice to students across Ireland to participate in its inaugural TED Ed club. Applications are welcome from second level students who want to engage in a lively debate about issues that are important to them. Selection process – apply via this link http://bit.ly/oireachtaseducationTEDedclub until 5pm on Monday 24th September. Short listed students will be notified and asked to submit a 2 minute video by the 12th of October and our final selection will be announced by the 19th October. Our first video conference will take place before mid-term break in October.
