WelcomeTo Our Guests,We especially welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at firstpresaugusta.org. You can also visit the desk in our Welcome Center, located behind the sanctuary. Additional seating is available in St. Andrew’s Hall. Ushers are available to direct you.
Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder and his wife will be standing next to the pastor following the service to talk or pray with you.
Children’s Check-inWe are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children’s Church, or any other children’s activity. Kiosks are available in the Children’s Lobby. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available to assist you.
Children’s WorshipWe offer a specially designed program for children in Pre-K through fourth grade during the morning services. Leaders will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Children in pre-K through second grade remain in their classrooms until they are picked up by a parent.
Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We provide a Mother/Infant Room (#160) located in the Ebenezer Building behind the sanctuary.
Family RoomThe Telfair Room (#100) is a great place for parents with restless children to watch live feed of the sermon while training young children how to participate in corporate worship. Ushers are available to direct you.
Our DenominationWe are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), a denomination “true to the Scriptures, the reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.” Learn more about the PCA at pcanet.org.
We are very glad to have you worshiping our gracious God with us today.
Flowers The flowers are given today to the glory of God.

The ResponseThe grass withers and the flowers fall,But the Word of our God stands forever.
The Psalter Lesson ...................................................................................................Psalm 91page 930 in the pew Bible
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your sheild and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you make the Most High your dwelling—even the Lord, who is my refuge—
Then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
They will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
You will trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because he loves me, “ says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
“I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
“He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
“With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

§The Corporate Confession of SinEternal and Almighty Father, I am called to endure hardship in this broken world, but you know how truly weak I am. I confess my lack of faith, my fear of the future, and my complaining spirit. I lack knowledge, yet question your wisdom and goodness. Foolishly, I have demanded answers from and tried to manipulate you, the Infinite God. I look everywhere else for explanations and solutions, instead of bringing my troubles to you. I have tried comparison, control, blame, self-preservation, and the wisdom of the world; these have left me angry, confused and afraid. Forgive me for doubting your faithfulness, your power, your love, your promises. I am like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. Holy Spirit, help me to look to Jesus, who was tempted in every way I am, yet did not sin; the one who sympathizes with me in my weakness; the one who has overcome the world; the one who is in heaven interceding for me right now. Gentle Savior, comfort and correct me in your tender mercy. Give me that deep and abiding peace and the patient endurance that come with full surrender and trust in you. Through Jesus I pray, Amen.

The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ....................................................Isaiah 30:15, 18For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

When I gaze into the night skies and see the work of your fingers;The moon and stars suspended in space.Oh, what is man that you are mindful of him?
You have given man a crown of glory and honor,And have made him a little lower than the angels.You have put him in charge of all creation:Beasts of the field, the birds of the air, the fish of the sea.
O Lord, our God, the majesty and glory of your nameTranscends the earth and fills the heavens. O Lord, our God; little children praise you perfectly, and so would we.

(Sung by all) All people that on earth do dwell,Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice.Serve him with joy, his praises tell,Come now before him and rejoice!
Know that the Lord is God indeed,He formed us all without our aid.We are the flock he surely feeds,The sheep who by his hand are made.
O enter then his gates with joy!Within his courts his praise proclaim.Let thankful songs your tongues employ.O bless and magnify his name. Amen.
