Face masks are encouraged but optional. Please do not congregate in the Gathering Space before or after Mass. Currently, we are limiting the capacity of the building to 50% and will be seating people as they arrive to maintain a distance between households. Once seated, please remain in that designate space in order to maintain social distance. Moving about in the sanctuary should be avoided if possible. In the interest of group safety, there will be a wooden kiosk for receiving church offerings, hand sanitizer and the St. Agnes Worship Aide - Bulletins which will have all the readings and music within it. Interior doors will remain propped open during Mass. There will no sign of peace for the immediate future. Out of respect for the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, it is not permitted to receive Holy Communion in the hand while wearing gloves. It is also not permitted to use a napkin or tissue in the hand as a barrier. Reception of the Eucharist in the hand is the only option currently. After the final blessing and recession, please remain in place until your row is dismissed by the hospitality ministers/ushers. We regret that the church cannot remain open for private prayer following Mass, but it needs to be vacated (within 15 minutes after mass is over) so that we can begin sanitizing and preparing for the next Mass. Outside of mass times, the Church is open daily for private daily prayer (using the north door). May God bless you!

C ompassion! It is one of the qualities of Jesus that epitomizes his unique way of coming close to those who suffer, to those who are poor, and to those who are abandoned. The gospel today describes this quality of Jesus. It says: “At the sight of the crowds, Jesus’ heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned like a sheep without a shepherd.” Motivated by his compassionate heart, he told his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” Then he called his disciples by name to become the laborers in the harvest. Do you know anyone suffering near you, or even in your family? Have you done something to comfort that person, or have you just disowned or abandoned him/her? Beyond your family, is there something you can do to announce the reign of God? More than ever, Jesus calls us to be kindhearted and compassionate, to heal and to liberate. During our baptism our names were proclaimed; we were bathed with the water of eternal life; we were sealed by the Holy Spirit to make the Kingdom of God alive again in these exciting, struggling and trying times of the Church. People will know about God from Christ-like people, from Christians who live out the gospel in their lives. A disciple asked his master, “How come, whenever I see you, I see the Christ in you?” The master replied, “It is the Christ in me that recognizes the Christ in you.” So, do what your heart is whispering you to accomplish. It is the compassionate heart of Jesus that guides your loving heart to make the Kingdom of God happen in our midst. Don’t waste your potential. God needs you. He might be whispering these words in your ears now, “If you need a hand and there are hundred steps between us, you can take the first step to get near me and I will take the 99 steps to be there for you.” So, what are you waiting for? Take the first step now…

THE LITURGY of the WORD

First Reading - Exodus 34:4b-6, 8-9 Early in the morning Moses went up Mount Sinai as the LORD had commanded him, taking along the two stone tablets. Having come down in a cloud, the LORD stood with Moses there and proclaimed his name, “LORD.” Thus the LORD passed before him and cried out, “The LORD, the LORD, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in kindness and fidelity.” Moses at once bowed down to the ground in worship. Then he said, “If I find favor with you, O LORD, do come along in our company. This is indeed a stiff-necked people; yet pardon our wickedness and sins, and receive us as your own.”

Responsorial Psalm Second Reading - 2 Corinthians 13:11-13 Brothers and sisters, rejoice. Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the holy ones greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.

Please stand Gospel Alleluia Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; to God who is, who was, and who is to come. Gospel - John 3:16-18 God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not parish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Please sit Homily

Please stand Apostles Creed I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, Of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. (Continued on next page)

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
