“Based on the results of our study, there is much to be done to encourage nine-to-10-year-old children and their families to make healthier food choices,” she said.

Governments therefore need to step up their health promotion campaigns and provide parents with the appropriate food and nutrition advice to avoid future increased healthcare burdens.
