“WIPS” is the first private company in Korea to design, build and provide worldwide on-line patent

information service. Founded in 1999 Mr. Lee, Hyung Chil and founding members of WIPS worked

for major multinational company “Daewoo Electronics” patent department before setting up WIPS.

Over the years WIPS has grown from 11 employees to 298 employees with 200 of them working

as a Professional Search and Analysis experts in the field of Patent, Trademark, and Design. (2012)

As a testament to quality services provided by WIPS, in 2005 KIPO (Korea Intellectual Property

Office) designated the WIPS as the only one of two private company designated as Prior Art Search

Institute and the only private company designated as Trademark and Design Search Institute.

Commitment to Service, Quality, Innovation, and Ingenuity has resulted in:
