French 9 (no pre-requisite)You will use your skills to communicate in simple dialogues. French culture will be integrated within the units of study,

French 10 (no pre-requisite)You will experience French language and culture in a positive and energetic atmosphere.

French 20 (pre-requisite: French 10)You will be able to understand and express interrelated ideas in oral and written sentences dealing with structured and familiar topics.

French 30 (pre-requisite: French 20) You will be able to understand and express simple and complex ideas dealing with a variety of familiar topics.

German 9(no pre-req)

•We will have Kaffeeklatsch, Epals, and other fun activities to help you learn the language and connect with real German speaking people.

German 10(no pre-req)

•This is a course which will enable students to read, write and converse in German at an introductory level. Students will study about school, family, community, food, and holidays.

20

•The emphasis will be on improving fluency and comprehension through written and oral activities.

German 30

•This course continues to improve fluency and comprehension in the German language. Cultural study continues to be part of the course.

German20S

•This course is developed to expand on a student’s knowledge of German culture, literature, history and everyday life.

Japanese 10 (no pre-requisite)Introduction to Japanese language and culture

Japanese 20 (pre-requisite: Japanese 10)You will continue to develop the comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and communication skills for everyday situations.

Japanese 30 (pre-requisite: Japanese 20)You will continue to focus on learning more kanji and improve your

fluency in basic, polite and casual Japanese in many situations.

Spanish 9

• This course is an introduction to Spanish language and culture and will prepare students for further study in Spanish.

Spanish 10

• In this introductory course, students will gain an appreciation of the rich Spanish culture while learning to speak and understand this widely spoken language.

Spanish 20

• In this course, students will continue to develop the comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and communication skills needed to improve fluency in Spanish.

Spanish 30

• By the end of this course, students will have the grammar, vocabulary, and cultural knowledge in order to communicate effectively with other Spanish speakers.
