IT IS 1935 - WHAT IS THE U.S. LIKE?

European and Asian countries were going through really bad times, too.

Germany and the Depression

Germany was even more depressed than the United States because they had to pay for all of the damages of World War I.

Germany had to pay ALL OF THE ALLIED POWER COUNTRIES: U.S., FRANCE, GREAT BRITAIN, and RUSSIA.

Many Germans were unemployed.

Germany was still rebuilding from the war!
