WORLD STANDARD FOR SWAGING OF TERMINALS ON FULL STEEL WIRE ROPES
Portable roller swagers
motor or compressed air. Due to the portability, a permanent on site solution can be achieved in all circumstances. The range is wide, and the capacity is from 1,5 mm - 44 mm, wire or rod.
SPELTER SOCKETS AND
SLEEVES REPLACED
Our technique provides a new alternative to sleeves, spelter sockets and the joining of non weldable materials.
LLOYD’S CERTIFICATE
Evidence of the strength and reliability of our technique is the approval from Lloyd’s Register of Shipping.
DevelopmentconsultantsToday we also act as develop-ment consultants to many of our customers. We produce new ideas and solutions to problems where often old routines dominated. We make an inventory of a customer’s needs and suggest new or improved solutions.
We cater for everything from different forms of retention to special test-rig terminals for strain testing new, special high-tensile, line designs.
Our customersAmong the companies placing their confidence in us are Atlas Copco, Alfa Laval, British Rail, NATO, Seldén Mast AB, Spine Robotic, US Navy, Yamaha, Swedish Rail, the Swedish Army and National Power, Swedish Forest industry, the Commercial Fishing Navy and the University of Stuttgart.
Our policyOur policy is one of the con-tinual developments of safe, reliable and functional fas-tenings for cables, wires and rods together with further development of our patented terminal presses. We sell not only machines and terminals that are designed and adapted to meet the requirements of our customers, but also complete and finished cables.
We replacebrute forcewith rollers
The yacht market was where we began. Our first machine was developed in the
mid-seventies. A machine that did away with convention. All previous concepts of fit-ting terminals onto full-steel wire rope and solid rod were turned upside down. Further, the terminal was also straight, not curved, as was usual hit-hereto.
The principle is simple. The terminal itself drives the roller-dies. The machine works with
a freely rotating pair of rollers, driven when the terminal is drawn between them. It is a simple and robust design with the minimum of movable parts, making it reliable both in the field and in rational produc-tion.Development was quick. In many fields, the need for high strength swaged terminals is considerable. The machines perform equally effectively on solid rod as they do on full-steel wire. The breaking load is as high as that of the rod or wire.
ELECTRICITY, AIR
OR MAN POWER
A big advantage with our swa-gers is their portability. One man can do the job, whether he uses a manual pump, an electric

efore swaging, alw
ays make sure that the hydraulic plunger is fully retracted.
1. Choose the roller pair of dies that cor-
responds to the cable diam
eter and slip
them into the cogw
heel synchronizing
pins. The arrow
s on the dies should al
ways be in sw
aging direction.
3. Apply just enough hydraulic pressure
so the roller holds the term
inal firmly.
T
hen mark and insert cable to the bot-
tom
of the terminal throat.
5. When they rotate they w
ill press the
terminal shank onto the w
ire rope.
Note: This sw
ager is design to reduce the ter-m
inal shank to required diameter in one pass.
How
ever variations in dimensions of the term
i-nal or cable or m
aterial hardness may m
ake tw
o passes necessary.

2. Attach the term
inal to the attachment
fixture on the draw
ing arm and adjust
the length of the draw
ing arm so the
roller dies m
eet on the terminal shank
at the desired position.
4. Move into position the transparent face
plastic protector. A
pply hydraulic pres
sure to draw the term
inals between the
roller dies.
6. Measure the diam
eter of the terminal
shank after sw
aging.
Note: W
hen swaging solid rods m
ust a spe-cial sw
aging compound be used. A
fter swag-
ing wipe off the roller dies and spray the dies
and the swager w
ith a corrosive preventative.
