HIGHEST CAPACITY PLANT GOES INTO OPERATIONA galvanizing plant capable of galvanizing 25 tonnes every hour has gone into operation in Ankara in Turkey. Hasco worked together with Ingenia Cranes and Koerner KVK of Austria to install the plant with the highest capacity, late last year. Mr Ozgun Keles, the Project & Plant Manager for Mitas Galvanizing said, ‘We built our highest capacity plant with Hasco Thermic whom we trust with the high velocity system’. The plant has been in operation for 10 months regularly achieves production rates of 261tonnes per day.

REPEAT BUSINESS IN ITALY

Hasco have supplied their third furnace to Zincherie Fratelli Rossi in Italy together with partners Giardina srl, Italy. Following the replacement of their first 12.6m furnace in 2011, Zincherie Fratelli Rossi were so convinced of the quality of the Hasco furnaces that they ordered a further two 12.6m furnaces. Now celebrating 45 years in industry, we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Zincherie Fratelli Rossi for their continued support and look forward to further future co-operation.

This year’s Intergalva 2015 conference held at ACC Liverpool, Kings Dock, Liverpool from 7-12 June was a resounding success with the highest attendance to date and over 50 countries from around the World represented. Hasco-Thermic Ltd and its parent company, B E Wedge Holdings, played a leading role as major players in the hosting nation. The team gathered for a photograph on the final day of the conference, see you next time in Berlin 2018!!

KTP AWARDED ‘OUTSTANDING’Our Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Sheffield University was awarded the highest grade of ‘Outstanding’ by the KTP grading Panel for its achievement in meeting KTP’s objectives. IT’S OFFICIAL…69% SAVINGHasco have fitted over 60 inverters now to new and existing galvanizing plant equipment. Work that was presented by Warren Bulger, Director of Engineering for Wedge Group Galvanizing at Intergalva 2015 demonstrates that savings in electrical power consumption of up to 69% can be achieved. HASCO EMBARK ON 3RD KTPFollowing the success of the first two Knowledge Transfer Partnerships with Sheffield University, Hasco have embarked on a third project with a focus on advanced technology in the specialized field of galvanizing furnace design. The results of the investigations undertaken in partnership with the University, which is a world leader in this field, have been instrumental in advancing our thinking on improving the performance and energy efficiency of the company’s products.
