The Philippines, as one of the largest recipients of Korea’s official development assistance, has been receiving about 600 volunteers since 1990 under the programs of World Friends Korea (WFK). They work in the fields of Education, Public Health, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Vocational Training, and Rural Development, taking into account the development priorities of the Philippine government. As the third largest overseas volunteer program in the Philippines, WFK will continue to promote its key concepts: partnership, understanding and sincerity; hand in hand with the Philippine government for a sustainable development. The Philippines, as one of the largest recipients of Korea’s

official development assistance, has been receiving about

KOREA INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AGENCY is the

government agency in charge of implementing the Official

Development Assistance of South Korea since its formation in

1991.

Happiness for all with Global KOICA WFK Activities by Sector

WORLD FRIENDS KOREA is the overseas volunteer group of

the Korean government that helps people across the globe by

providing technical assistance and support. Efforts have been

made to reduce poverty and to build the foundation for the

independent growth of developing countries in line with United

Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The requesting organization needs to review its own

program/project and identify the work that needs to

be addressed by the volunteer/s.

Step 1. IDENTIFY

Once the need for volunteer assistance and work plan

are identified, the organization is required to accomplish

the KOICA and PNVSCA Official Request forms.

Step 2. FILL-OUT

Submit the completed request forms to KOICA Philippine

Office. KOICA officers will review and endorse it to

PNVSCA for further assessment and approval.

Step 3. SUBMIT
