Titop Island: During the French colonial period, Ti Top Island was

called Cat Nang Island. In 1962, the island was named after Russian

cosmonaut Gherman Stepanovich Titov, a hero of the former Soviet

Union, to mark the historic visit of President Ho Chi Minh and G. Titov

to Ti Top Island on 22 November 1962. Famous for its scenic

landscapes, quiet atmosphere, white sand, and fresh water – the

island is a beautiful stop whilst cruising on Ha Long Bay. You can even

climb up about 400 steps to enjoy a 360 degree breath-taking view at

the top (the mountain climbing takes 20 minutes one way and it is

not recommended for guests with hypertensive heart diseases. Guests

shall climb at own pace depending on their physical fitness, strength

and conditions).

Kayaking Adventure

Temple of Literature: Dating back to 1070, the temple was built to

honour Confucianism. It is adjacent to Vietnam’s first university where

Ho Chi Minh Stilt House: Visit this humble, traditional stilt house

where Ho lived intermittently from 1958 to 1969. Set in a well-tended

garden with a carp-filled pond, the house has been preserved just as

Ho left it.

One Pillar Pagoda: Rising from the centre of an elegantly square

shaped lotus pond, the One Pillar Pagoda is said to represent a lotus

flower growing out of the water. Built between 1028 and 1054 during

the reign of Emperor Ly Thai Tong of the Ly Dynasty, the One Pillar

Pagoda is one of Vietnam's most iconic architecture.

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (external facade): Known for honouring

the national hero President Ho Chi Minh, the building is where visitors

can express their admiration and gratitude towards the common

father/ uncle of Vietnamese, who has led the country to

independence and reunification.

National Museum of Vietnamese History: The museum is a public

institution established in 2011 through the amalgamation of the

former National Museum of Vietnamese History and National

Museum of the Vietnamese Revolution. The museum now houses

over 200,000 relics of Vietnamese history, from pre-history to the

present. Among these, many are Vietnamese antiquities and 18 are

recognized as Vietnam’s national treasures.

Old Quarter of 36 Streets District: Enjoy free time to wander this old

quarter that dates back to the 18th century. Traditionally named after

the tradesman that worked them (Tin Street, Paper Street, Silk Street,

etc.), each street was home to a particular craft guild, with small shops

dedicated to selling silver, silk or handmade crafts.

Yen Tu Mountain is one of the highest peaks in the Dong Trieu

Mountains in the north-eastern area of Vietnam. It is famous for its

beautiful natural landscape and cultural heritage. More than 700 years

ago, King Tran Nhan Tong abandoned his royal palace to begin an

ascetic religious life and based the Truc Lam Zen Sect with a distinctive

cultural tradition of the Vietnamese people. As the only native school of

Buddhism in the country, it is known as “The cradle of Buddhism in

Vietnam”. Every year, there are thousands of visitors from around the

world flock to attend the Yen Tu Festival, a time when people pray for

Buddha’s worship in spring.

Yen Tu Mountain Cable Car: In the past, visitors to Yen Tu had to

climb a six-kilometer track through the bamboo and pine tree forest

leading to Yen Tu. Today, you have the option of going by cable car,

which has been operating since 2002. The journey will be more

excited if you are riding in a crystal cabin.

Hue Quang Golden Stupa: Located near the Hoa Yen Pagoda. The

tower was built in 1309 to store King Tran Nhan Tong’s sarira – the

crystal-like bead-shaped objects that are purportedly found among

the cremated ashes of Buddhist masters. It has been maintained in a

good condition in the past 700 years. The statue on the first level of

the Stupa shows King Tran Nhan Tong meditating on a lotus.

Hoa Yen Pagoda: This biggest pagoda among the Yen Tu complex is

543 metres tall. The pagoda stood amongst a long row of

Glyptostrobus trees, which are said to be planted by the three

patriarchs of the Truc Lam Buddhism Zen Sect, including King Tran

Nhan Tong.

Ba Vang Pagoda: Built in 1676, Ba Vang Pagoda is the temple with

the largest sancturary in Vietnam. Uniquely located at 340 metres

above sea level on the Thanh Dang Mountain, the pagoda stand

against the mountain as backdrop, facing the Bang Dang River. The

highlight of this approximately 22 hectares temple is the Dai Hung

Bao Dien, also “the largest sanctum on mountain in Indochina” per

Indochina Records Organization in 2014.

limitation, war or threat of war, r iot, disaster, acts of Gods (which includes but not limited to adverse weather condition, storm,

tsunami, earthquake and/or typhoon), terrorist activity, fire, technical problem with transport, closure of port, strikes or other

industrial action, act or decision of any government authority and any other events beyond the control of Dream Cruises and

the tour operator.

13. Tour operators reserve the right to refuse the passenger to join shore excursions or cancel shore excursions for the following

several reasons: late passengers; safety reasons; immigration and custom clearance; and conditions beyond the control of the
