The Corning Cable Systems Workstation MultimediaOutlet (WMO) offers flexibility and capacity, accom-modating both fiber optic adapters and copper jacks,which allow voice, video and data in one outlet. Thisdiversity, combined with aesthetic appeal, makes itideal for offices, schools and hospitals and set it apartfrom other solutions in the industry. The WMO blendseasily with any fixed-wall office environment and canbe surface mounted on a single-gang (2 x 4 in) or adual-gang (4 x 4 in) electrical outlet.

To allow for diversity in installation and cable routing,surface raceway (.5 in and .75 in or 1.0 in) can beinserted into the top of the unit. Strain-relief is providedfor incoming copper and fiber cables. The exclusivedesign accepts colored icons for labeling, which makeline identification quick and easy. The colored icons alsomake it easier to identify the connection from the outletto the closet. For added security, a hidden securityscrew is located under the “slide-in” identification label.The WMO has a flammability rating of UL 94 V-0 andan oxygen index of 35 per ASTM D 2863.
