As per the guidelines of honorable Vice Chancellor of Gujarat

Technological University Prof. (Dr.) Navin Sheth, with the blessings and vision of

Mr. Mansukh M. Nakrani (Chairman, Gyanmanjari Institute of Technology) and

motivation from Principal Dr. H. M. Nimbark, we at Gyanmanjari Institute of

Technology, Information Technology Department had setup an Open Source

Technology Club (OSTC). GTU has taken initiative to introduce OSTC for all the

GTU affiliated colleges. We initiated with warm welcome to all students. The

function was started with the motivational and Informative audio-video and

presentation on OSTC awareness and Python introduction.

Workshops were conducted by Mr. Jayesh Popat(Senior Developer, iFlame

Institute, Ahmedabad) under guidance of Prof. Amit G. Maru (Head of

Department, Computer Engineering) and Prof. Prashant J. Viradiya (Asst.

Professor, Computer Engineering ). Our OSTC is working to attract more faculties

and students from our college. We are very much impressed with the

enthusiasm shown by all participants and also the efforts taken by supporting

staff members. We really want to reach out to maximum students and faculty

members’ participation.

Objective:

Expand the knowledge about Basic Technology.

Understand the Open Source Technology.

Understand the Python language & Basics of Machine Learning.

Gets Hands on Practice on Python.

Importance of Python.

History of Python.

Understand Basic functionality of Python.

Students get benefited of Open source.

Students get some technology, which they don’t ever use.

Students get knowledge about Python Languages.

Student get idea about how to install Python & PyCharm.

Students get Idea about how Python work and where they can use.

Students were aware with Python Game code.

Students get knowledge, how to open source technology work and how

we will use these freeware software without purchase any license.

Students have also perform practical on Python.

also thankful to my OSTC Club Student Coordinator and our Head of Department

Prof. Amit G. Maru for taking care of all arrangements related to the workshops.
