Aims and Objectives• Increase participation among the inactive• Enhance the evidence base for the role of
sport for health• Engage 3,000 sedentary people and support
750 to make long term changes• Develop and implement a physical activity
pathway and ensure relevant opportunities are available
Psychological Barriers
• People don’t perceive it to be important• People are not confident enough to do it• LGM designed to remove these barriers by:
– help people explore the personal importance of a more active lifestyle
– build people’s confidence about becoming more active

Let’s Get Moving• A behaviour change programme which
incorporates a physical activity care pathway • Integrates the recommendations of NICE public
health guidance • Has been designed to assist practitioners in
guiding inactive adults aged 16–74 towards gradually becoming more active
• Has been successfully delivered by practitioners working in primary care settings

• Development of PA Pathway ‘Active Participation’– Quality assuring existing activities– Developing new activities where
