in our mouth. We had sooo much food, if anyone went home hungry that night it wastheir own fault!

We also helped with the Elementary Rodeo with the 3rd graders. We had memberspaint the kids’ faces, blow up balloon animals, teach them how to use a lasso, explain whyfarmers use branding, and the kids learned the pattern for barrels and poles.

Our chapter has been collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald house for the past couple of months and hasalmost reached their goal. On Friday December 16th during the basketball game the cafeteria had over a dozen palletChristmas trees decorated from various organizations. Individuals placed their bid on the trees. All profits went to thepurchasing of items needed for the Ronald McDonald House. On Monday December 19th we had a group of officers goup to Des Moines to deliver them and other things needed that we bought with money raised from our Trees for Tots. They were very happy to receive the pop tabs and the needed items and our officers enjoyed giving to others.

We have also been busy in the classroom doing a lot of projects. We have been hatching chicks, doing some taxi-dermy of squirrels, minks and raccoons, learning how to give proper injections by practicing on oranges and bananas, dissecting pigs, fixing our greenhouse and continuing many projects in ag construction and welding class.

Our “Ugly Christmas Sweater” contest will be held on Wednesday the 21st this year and a prize will be given to theindividual wearing the ugliest sweater. We will also hold our “treat day” out in the shop on the 21st as well. Hot chocolate, hot cider and treats will be available throughout the day in the Ag room. Our FFA Officers will also be holding their SecretSanta gift exchange this day.

The Twin Cedars FFA Chapter would like to wish everyone and their family a Very Merry Christmas and a very HappyNew Year’s.

Now when everyone returns to school in January be prepared to work hard and practice for contests!!!!!!!
