She had to do a final lookbook for her FMP but she had no idea on how to use InDesign so she asked me to do it for her.

Evaluation For this brief I was asked to take shots of some garments. We initially had few problems arranging and planning the shoot and we kept postponing, either because I couldn’t or because the model or Maria couldn’t and this made me understand even more the importance of communication between people and how in the fashion industry each person that works on a shoot is fundamental because without one of them I couldn’t have done the shoot. When we finally fixed a date which worked for all of us I had to rush with planning the shoot as it was a bit short-notice. We needed a yellow backdrop but I couldn’t tell the erc on time so they couldn’t change it for us and we had to use the green or pink backdrop and we both decided the green wasn’t working at all so we decided to use pink. Initially I was worried as I find quite hard setting the right lighting when the background has a colour and that’s the main reason why I decided to use umbrellas to soften and spread the light equally. After encountering other issues I ended up taking too long setting up the lights and the model had to pick up important calls continuously, so I started to panic a little bit because time was already flying and I had two outfits to photograph. However, I managed to get good shots and with the short time remaining before wrapping up I was able to get more photos.Overall, I know I could have done better even though Maria is very happy with the final results. I am happy she liked them but I honestly felt like the shoot was rushed and not well organized I think is because we planned it last minute. However, this shoot has really prepared me for my next shoot for a Makeup Artist as she wanted vivid colours too as I took notice of some mistakes I did whilst shooting and setting up the lights. Hopefully the next shoot will be better.
