The Logistical Piece• What is the best type of business for

you – LLC, Sole Proprietorship, Social Enterprise, Cooperative, etc.?

• What professional services will you require – financial, legal, insurance, marketing, etc.?

• What services will you offer?

• What pricing structure will you use?

• Will you gradually work into your business or take a giant leap?

• Who could you look to as a mentor?

• Do you have a name for your organization?

The Emotional Piece• What fears come up? What would need to

be in place to help relieve them?

• What supports do you have in place to lean on when feelings of insecurity arise?

• How will you work through rejection when a project is turned down?

• Network, network, network

• Hold the mindset “Take the Shot – Always”

• Be clear on what you are providing

• Are you comfortable saying “No” to the opportunities that don’t align with who you are?

• Are you comfortable reaching out when it feels like you are alone in your work?

Discuss with your break-out group the following questions:

• What would need to be in place for you to begin the path to entrepreneurship?

• What supports do you have in place to lean on once you begin your journey?

• What emotions show up when you think about becoming your own boss?

The Financial Piece• Do you need to continue with your

current job?

• What about health insurance?

• How will you pay your income taxes?

• Do you have capital to get started?

• Creating a business

• Liability Insurance

• Where and when will you open a business account?

• Where will you get commercial general liability insurance and where will you get professional liability insurance?

• Do you have an accountant? A bookkeeper? Do you need them?
