2Commercial and office expansion of Azrieli Mall Acre, Israel. 97000 s.f.Tzamir Architects & Planners Ltd.Status: Approval The programmatic elements include two new floors of office/ commercial space and an additional parking floor accommodating 100 cars at a time. This project brought several challenges including the logistics of keeping the existing commercial area open trough the construction of the extra floors. The client wanted to create an internal courtyard to keep the existing skylight. After developing several iterations and determining how to best commence what will eventually become a 9700 square foot build up, we reached a plan that would allow the client to have the most flexibility in the retail spaces.

5Tank Field- Proposal for brown field renewalFinal Project / Spring 2014

Candidate in The Azrieli Prize in Architecture

An oil tank farm which used to supply oil for the entire Middle East and was constructed by the British, Is now days an hazardous area were the decay of the infrastructure and the lack of management, affects the near surroundings, as the ecological environment and the social economic level of the near neighborhood.

While researching the area, I discovered that the oil farm has qualities that cannot only restore, but also give the area a new identity.By forming new links between the city and the obsolete industrial zone we can help the same ones that were badly influenced by the same industry, and address the natural growth of the city.

The proposal have two stages, the immediate, involves the community during the renewal and proposes the first building, and the second one, is a long term proposition, where the existing infrastructure is part of the set of tools for the urban connection in the design.

9River City- Mix use design as part of a long term proposal for the increasing population in the metropolitan area in Tel Aviv, Israel / 4th Year Project.

Selected to be part of Haifa International Waterfront Conference, Technion.

In coming years, due to the anticipated effect of global climate change and great development pressures along coastal zones, re-envisioning the urban-ocean interface will become a significant component in the design of coastal urban environments. With 70% of Israel’s population living within 15 km from the 188km-long coastal strip, the environmental impact on the edge between city and sea is substantial and will only increase by continuing development pressures for inhabitation, industry, tourism and large scale infrastructure projects such as processing plants for natural gas, desalination plants and off-shore airports.

The project is a long term proposal for the increasing population in the metropolitan area. The focus is on developing a sustainable architectural solution for the interface between city and sea by designing an educational, environmental and recreational complex at the site of the Riding Power Station North of Tel Aviv’s Port.

11Nesher Elementary school- Gathering area interior design / 4th Year Project.

Planned with Yamit Lazimi and Dana Ben Micha

The school had requested for a new gathering space, where the children can play, have interaction with the outside and enrich their activity space. The interaction between the inside and outside was the heart of the architectural concept, where the main entrance is no more the border of each space, but is a new identity where the children can explore, experiment and play. The gathering space facade pattern is formed by a dotted pattern, made in a prefabricated concrete plank built on a steel frame. The holes in the facade have programmatic uses, a hole can turned into a table or a game board, emphasizing the school values.
