How Long?
•Ideally TWO weeks.•But anything is better than nothing.•Students have done anything from one
day to a month or more.

weeks of summer term (after the 5th year exams) (25 June-6 July)

Where?
•At a firm near you ….!•Try to make work experience relevant to
your intended career ambitions e.g. if you want to do medicine find something at a hospital; if a lawyer, a law office; or it could be a course which extends your learning.
•You MUST not do your work experience with Mum, Dad or any other near relative! Although they might help you find a placement.

• You need FOUR copies for each work experience:
▫ 1. For YOU;▫ 2. For DR. NICE;▫ 3. For the SCHOOL;▫ 4. For your FILE.
• You MUST, MUST, MUST have these signed and stamped by Mr. Galvin and the school office BEFORE you start your work experience.
• You MUST give a copy of your work experience form to Dr. Nice at least two weeks BEFORE you begin.
• If you have done this, you will receive a) a questionnaire for the company to evaluate you and b) a self-evaluation form.
