Red Leaves ResortThe Event Component

The challenge was to invent and promote a series of events throughout the year in Muskoka, a tourist region primarily known as a summer vacationland.

The solution was to rebrand the calendar from four seasons to eight and create original events taking into account the physical, cultural and historical characteristics of each month.

Red Leaves Resort

The Entertainment

Component

The challenge was to create abuzz for Red Leaves Resort fiveyears prior to the first hotelopening.

The solution was to brand a tentnext to the construction site asthe Red Leaves Playhouse thenreplace it later with a permanentstructure in the proposedlakeside village known as MinnetLanding.

Kellerman’s Resort

The challenge was to create a new image for an old resort that was now renamed and under new management.

The solution was to remove all previous images and rebrand with a uniform and contemporary presentation. This was achieved by creating signature events promoted with promotional print and radio ads.

The Weekend Guy

The challenge was to create a brand from scratch thatwould appeal to anyone interested in leisure andrecreational activities

The solution was The Weekend Guy a broadcastpersonality (TV & Radio) , comic strip , book &merchandise. The show is now seen daily on the IonLife Network (US) and around the world.

The Muskoka Theatre Project 2001 – 2009

The challenge was to restore live theatre in a region were every major company had failed.

The solution was to stay away from large expensive venues, create quality productions for the small stage and own copyright

The results: Since its inaugural season MTP original productions have won three awards and incredible reviews in addition to a loyal following.
