Monday: 30 minutes of spelling instructiono Spelling Pattern Pre-test given on Fridays (Students who score

90% or better receive the challenge list for their weekly list post-test (same pattern). All students will have 10 new pattern words on their test Friday. Total words that teacher must have prepared: 30

Dear Parents,

In word study this week, we are practicing words that have the long a sound, like cake. We will be focusing on the various ways that the long a sound can be spelled.
