What is WordPress?

• WordPress is a free and open source blogging tool and a dynamic content management system (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL

• WordPress can be used to create a presence on the www – webpage, blog, e commerce site

• WordPress is a very powerful, flexible, ever improving tool that can be used to create and present content on the www for free (or almost free!)

• Read Individual Blog Assignment- see Mio individual assignment 2 – due October 15th, 2014

• Go to www.bawp.vaniercollege.org/a14yourfirstname/ for example if you are Alessia your web address would be: www.bawp.vaniercollege.org/a14alessia

• Find the login tab on your web page, enter user name (a14your first name) and enter password – password sent to your g mail account
