Dear Families Welcome to Term 2. I am very pleased to acknowledge and congratulate those children who attended every day in Term 1. These children and their families, 23% of our school’s population, maximised the teaching, learning and assessment opportunities presented at the school and within their classrooms. These students received a 100% attendance certificate and a canteen voucher at this week’s school assembly. I hope that we can increase the overall percentage of students attending every day for Term 2 and similarly reward our students in learning and certificates/vouchers. This term’s highlights include our Anzac Day Ceremony this Tuesday, to which all families are invited to attend, NAPLAN, a Ride/Walk/Scoot to School Breakfast and Sports Day. The dates for these events are on the back page. As you enter the School you may notice that we have begun to refurbish the Front Office to present are more welcoming and informative environment. The refurbishment should be completed by the end of term.

All students are welcome to march with the school group, however they MUST be in full uniform. Students that are going to wear their relative’s medals/miniatures are to wear them on their right side.

Mrs Winston will be supervising the children so they are to meet her at the starting point. The march forms in the car park to the north of the Palmerston Recreation Centre at 9:30am with a planned start of 9:45am. Parents will need to collect their children straight after the parade.

If your child wishes to participate, could you please notify their teacher in writing or send an email to Jodie.winston@ntschools.net so that we have some estimate of the number of students that we are expecting.

Welcome back to all our families with children enrolled in Outside School Hours Care. We hope everyone

enjoyed their Easter break. The children had lots of fun and enjoyed the different activities. Reminder for parents to book in early for June/ July vacation care. Historically this has always been the most popular vacation care period.
