A classic pole barn kit consists of wooden poles buried in the ground. The poles are then used as columns for the roof to be attached to. Walls are also usually made of wood or tin and are nailed or screwed to the upright poles. The poles that are buried in the ground will shift and move over time as well as decay and become rotten, even if treated wood is used.
