Whole School Book Advent

A huge thank you to Miss Kay

for organising the Christmas

book advent again this year. She

has worked tirelessly with her

band of helpful UKS2 pupils,

collecting, sorting and wrapping

books for the launch of the

Christmas Advent Calendar.

Every child in the school will

receive a book, labelled with an advent number, which we hope they will enjoy sharing at home.

Once your child has finished reading the book, if they wish, they are able to place the book in

the book swap box in each key stage and select another book to take home. We hope this will

enable you enjoy sharing lots of books with your child .

Library Project and Writing Competition

The school library favourite book display has been opened this week, lots of the children will be

visiting the library to find out about staff favourite books. This coincides with the launch of a

school writing competition, in KS2 the children can enter the Lighthouse Writing Competition

to win a signed copy of Letter From a Lighthouse . In KS1 the children have been invited to

submit a story written by themselves to win a Christmas story book.
