There are many Wonder Acts performed by various scholars. It is said that we shouldnot be fooled by even the Wonder Acts. It is not necessary that only the true followerscan demonstrate wonder acts, but even the kafir by putting his spirit in trouble and bydoing certain actions can also demonstrate. Wonder Acts. God will not bless him on theday of judgement but given the rewards in this very world. The truth is not proved bydoing certain acts (for the worldly gains), by putting exertion on the spirit and so weshould not get fooled by such deeds. It is said that in some places in Indit-t they standwith the wet clay in the palm with seeds in it in front of the idol. They stand in thatmanner for a long time and when the seeds germinate in a plant then the desire isattained. They think that their idol has fulfilled their wishes, which is not so. Many stoptheir breath or in the whole night breath ust once or twice and hence practice abstinence.

The uncle of the writer of Qasasul Ulema described an incident as follows:

"I went for the pilgrimage of Imam Raza (A.S.) and stayed there for sometime. I sawa mendicant who knew the art of Taiul Arz (i.e. of covering long m es in one distancesin short time as tra velliiig fifty il

hour). I became friendly with hipi-a d req wsted him toteach me thatart. Hedeclined.On further insistance he replied that you cannot learn this wonder act andyouarenotcapkbleof it. Ati last-.Ojivlmy-'further insistanceheagreedtd ti:achindthatwonder Act,providedlagreedtoabidebytwocendi ions:,,

1. That I will not acceptlmam Raza;.-,(A.S.) as Imam.

I agreed to abide by the two condit ions and then I returnedto my place. I thoughttomyself that to call an Imam the Imam is a matter of heart. Although I have agreed not to,accept Imam Ra a (A.S.) asthelmam buti stillaccepthim :asthp heart and that mendicantcannot find out what is in my heart. I will also pray inside my house,.after,closing alldoors and tell that mendicant that I did not pray. Making this resolve, I started to pray.After ablution that mendicant came at that moment and said, "Did l not;say that you arenot capable. of. learning ?" He then went away and was never seen gain,, . Tbis h s thatby exhibiting suph Wonder Acts, bonafi4es,ca.R pot be proved.

ANOTHER STORY

Another Story is narrated to prove that Wonder Acts manifested ' by',rdne:do notprove him to be right or just. In the", times of Imam -Ja'ttLr-e-Sadiq (A.S.) a man came

from Hindustan. He Could tiell what the other person was hiding in his hands. This; newsreached Imam Ji'far-e-Sadiq (A.S.) and he summoned him. "Hiding something in' hishand. the Imam asked, "Say what is in my hand ?" After thinking and meditating forsome, time 'he replied : .Such' and' such thing is in your hand." H' is guess was correctand the Imam (A.S.) confirmedi his answer. Then Imam (A.S.) said that once again I hewould hide something in his hand, saying this the Imam (A.S.) put his hand out of hiswindow for a while, then pulled itbackland inquired whatiwas inililsha'nd ?

He meditated and thoughtlbut he could. not Ruess what'the Imam had in his hand.After a long time of meditating he said that on such and such island inIndialsuchtand;such bird has an egg missing from its nest. Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (A.S.)

opened his hand and said "Your guess is correct." Imam Ja'ffir-e-Sadiq (A.S.) theninquired: "From where did you learn this art ?" He replied, "I act contrary to what4mY soul tells me, and by acting in thismanner l have mastered this art."

Imam Ja'far-e-Sadiq (A.S.). asked ','Does your soul advocate Islam or .jPaganis;n Hereplied, "Paganism" Imam (A.S.) said, "In this matter why don't you go against yoursoul ?" He said : "I will go against my soul even in this matter and embrace Islam."Saying this he become a Muslim.

Imam asked him if he could still guess anything ? He replied in negative. ImamJa'far-e-Sadiq (A.S.) said that, "You are right, because before you embraced Islam youhad been blessed with this art as a reward to your spirit and devotion because you wouldnot have been rewarded on the day of Judgement. But now you are a Muslim. God hasreserved the requittal for the Day of Judgement and you will be rewarded there so, nowyour power is gone."

Objection has been raised in this connection that why he was punished by God afterhe embraced Islam by taking away his power. He should, on the other hand, have beenrewarded by God and should have increased his power, because it is stated in Quran thatif any one does some good deeds, God awards at least ten times of that good act-in thisworld as well as much more in the Hereafter.

To understand the correct position it is necessary to take into consideration thefollowing facts

(1)Every man has been given independence by God to act rightly or wrongly withoutany intervention from God, after he has been given a guidance.

(2)The disbelievers are rewarded in this very world for their good actions (if any) ;while tnuslims are rewarded both in this world and the Hereafter.

(3)There are some acts which have far-reaching effects and cannot be recompensatedadequately in this world.

Oneof the trustees of Peermahomed Ebrahim Trust recalls n'incident whichhewitnessed inlndia in 1930's. Afriend mentioned of a Hindu who claimed that.at times, theSpirit of Mitaii Datar, a famous pious Muslim whose Shrine is 'near AhihedabAd '(India),enteres his body and then he could walk on fire. The friend forcefully invited the Trustee

to witness this phenomenon for himself. He did so and told his friend that it was ail !false. Because, he argued, how could the spirit of Miran Datar, who was a pious man inhis life time, enter the body ofa Na)asperson. (There is a difference betweenNgiis andNajas. Najis things can be purified by ordinary means of purification, while Najas,,,Iikedogs :and pigs, cannot be purified by customary treatment ofe purification even ifrepeated for innumerable times. n'this' ;case of an unbeliever only acceptance of Islamicfaith could purify the Hindu).

SOOFISM

In some groups of Muslims there is a belief that Soofism, with all 'its -diverse .

creeds, is a means of littainmbnt &f 'neatness t6 Allah. In Soofism there are groupswho claim certain powers and attributes for their Shaikhs (Murshids). Some so-calledMurshids claim that they have gone so ahead on the way of spirituality that they haveattained ma'rifat (cognition) of Allah that they now need not follow Shariat lprecepts andpractices of Islam) like Namaz (Prayers) and fastings etc. They are false claimants. Ananecdote is related that a man approached a so called Soofi (mystic) and expressed adesire to come under his tutelage. The Soofi said that obedience of the Murshid withoutquestion was the first condition and he would not be able to fulfil that condition. The manpromised to obey him blindly. The Soofi told him to offer his Namaz with ablution(Wuzu) performed with urine, for one week and then return to him. He agreed to thecondition thinking how the Soofi would know that he did not fulfil the condition. Whenthe man went to the Soofi after one week, he enquired whether he had offered Namaz inthe way he had directed. The man replied in affirmative. The Soofi got annoyed and toldhim he had not done so and chased him out.

TRAPS OF TRICKSTERSMany a time people get trapped when they find some forecasts and predictions come

true and follow blindly such persons and ultimately ruin themselves raat"My in this worldand spiritually in the Hereafter. Such predictions aiid false Wonder Acts. like stop,4ingtrains, throwing away a watch or %ome such thing out of the window of moving trainsand afterwards producing the thing back from the pocket of the owner or someone sittingthere, may have been dono with the helf of evil spirits with whom they have madecontact through evil ways and magic which are abhorrible and not worthy of mention.

SALVATION IS ONLY IN FOLLOWING SHARIAT

Shias believe that there is one and only one way to achieve the pleasure and nearnessto Allah, and it is the way shown by the Prophet (S.A.) and his Progeny (A.S.).

Shias are not the only sect in Islam who4 believe that Salvation is only throughShariat. A famous Soofi, Shaikh Bahauddin Zak.aria, whose Shrine at Multan is a source

of solace for many, writes in one of his books that the criterion of a true and false Soofi isShariat. If a Soofi is a follower of Shariat-e-Mohammadi and guides his disciples to dothe same, he is a true Soofi otherwise he is not a Soofi but disciple of Satan.

MAGIC - SORCERY

Magic is perhaps the oldest attempt of Man at Spiritualism, rather Pseudo-spiritualism. Religiously speaking, as soon as Man descended on this earth Allah sent hismessengers to call him to recognise the Creator.

But recognition of the Deity means complete submission, without reservations. Thisis agreeable to the nobler side of the Soul (Nafs-e-Mutmaiu), as it is inherent in the soulto recognise Allah submit to Him and worship Him. But there is another side of the Soul,the baser side (Nafs-e m;tra), the side which inclines towards Satan,

This baser instinct is easily misled, and is rebellious,. Magic is the attempt Of thisrebellious side to create a pseudo-spirituality to counteract divine spirituality.' It is

reported in Ayashi and Qummi on the authority of Hazrat Imam Baqir (A.S.) that afterthe death of Hazrat Sulaiman (A.S.) Satan wrote an incantation and buried it with histhrone, and misled people that powers of Hazrat Sulaiman (A.S.) were due to thisincajitiitioli. Thus were the people of Sulaiman (A.S.) made to pr'actice Magic.

Allah has variously decried Magic in Holy Quran.

At one place magic enchantments are called false

"Then lo : it (the rod of Moses) swallowed (oae after another all) that they falselydemonstrated".(7

At another place Allah says that Magic- ig,.a wrought plan, a craft doomed to fail.

"Verily they have wrought by a plan of a sorcerer, and a sorcerer shall not besuccessful whatsoever manner (of skill) he may come from." (20 : 69)

Allah has also defined reciting incantations as following devils and that practice ofsorcery was taught to the people by the devils and it is infidelity (kufr).

"They followed what the- devil. recital *Wsely) against Soloman's Kingdom ; notthat SolomatL'disbelieved but (it was) the devils that disbeiievtd ; sorcery did they teach-to man and what was revealed to the-two ang-bli; at Babylon, Harut and Marut:.' (2:IL02)

At another place Allah gays that sorcer6rs' do nothing but hypnotize, cast a Spell orrather create illusion (bewitch the eyes of the people).

"So when they cast they bewitched the eyes of the people and terrified them andproduced them a great enchantment. (7 : 116)

Allah says that sorcery does not profit anyone but gives harm. The practitioners ofsorcery learn that they bargain for tortures in the life Hereafter by courting it.

"And they learnt what harmed them and profitted them not ; and indeed they knewthat he who bought that (art) had not shared in the happiness of the Hereafter. And vile

was the price for which they did sell their selves, had they only known (it)." (2 : 102)

Yet at another place Allah declares that mischief makers will not benefit by theirwork, and indeed sorcery is dispelled by Allah and can do no permanent harm.

"Verily God will presently make it naught ; Verily Allah causes not to thrive thework of mischief-makers." (10 : 81)

"Said Moses unto them, 'Woe unto you forge you 'not a lie against God ; lest hedestroys you with his wrath. And fails he who forges a lie." (20: 61)

Abdullah bin Umar has quoted the Holy Prophet (S.A.) as having said :-

"There are certain magicians among my followers. Do not call on them when theyare sick, de not offer funeral prayers for them when they die and do not greet them withsalutations when you happen to meet them."

When the people enquired as to who were these magicians the Holy Prophet (S.A.)replied :

"These are those people who commit evil acts and attribute their evil actions to theWill of God, saying that they did what they were predestined by Allah to do."

Abdullah bin Abbas quotes the Holy Prophet (S.A.) as having said :

" No one will stand so much condemned on the Day of Judgement as the one whoassociates God with the evil he does say that he did what he was predestined by God todo."

EVIL SPIRITS CANNOT HARM ONE WHO IS PERFECT IN FAITH

Magical phenomenaarealso ascribedto the evil spirits thatapractitionerconquersoverandsubjugates. In the opinion of such persons evil spirits are abounding all around usand if one endeavours he, can subjugate one or the other of these spirits and canaccomplish such amazing and astounding feasts. But one thing is certain and established.These evil spirits cannot harmone who is perfect in his faith.

SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION

Scientifically such phenomena of magic, and sorcery have notyet beenexplainedandscience isatalossto understandthem. Whetherinfutureitwill be able to do so remains to beseen.

One explanation has, however, been given and apart from religious and traditionalpoint of view, is a mere hypothesis to Work on. It is as follows,

Scientists are of the opinion that Man possesses many potential capabilities of whicheven he himself is unaware. According to them, apart from five senses of Taste, Touch,Hearing, Smell and Sight there.are other senses in the Man which lie dorment. It seems

probable because we see sometime a man with such capabilities which seemextraordinary. It is also a common experience that some people can foresee what is goingto happen in near future. As one advances in, age,, he developes a capability'of judgingcharacters intuitively, though he himself cannot offer any rational reason why he judgesone as honest or dishonest even if he is proved correct by later experience.

Intuition itself is a power which varies from person to person and is quite apart fromthe five senses.

Sometimes one becomes aversed to some person whom he has never seen before andsometimes likes without any rational explanation. All this goes to show that there are

some powers in Man that can be harnessed and put to work out of ordinary. People seeingsuch abnormal actions call them magic. If ever this phenomena are understood they maybe promoted to the status of Science.

So it can be one explanation of Magic that its feats are accomplished by harnessingsuch dorment powers of soul intentionally or consciously or subcon sciously.

ASTROLOGY AND ASTRONOMY

Astronomy is a branch of Science which deals with physical nature of cosmic bodiesin heavens and universe as a whole. Like other natural sciences it has

two aspects. Abstract and Applied. Abstract Astronomy deals with theoretical sideorigin of universe, its nature, chemical and physical speculation on?,

'Optimum conditions for existence of life in different parts] of universe, etc., etc.

Applied side of the Astronomy deals with the physical observation of the structure ofdifferent'c,osb2ic bodies through Telescopes, Radi -o, Telescopes, goace exploration oreven actual landing -oi4 celestial bodies. This last mode of exploration has yet beenpossible' in case of Moon only.

Astrology on the other hand is purely speculative in nature and is mysticism of asort. The first premise put forth by its supporters is that stars and planets affect the life ofpeople of this earth. If given a penetrating thought, it becomes obvious that Astrologydates back to the period when people thought the stars to be gods. Assyrians,Babylonions and Eygptiaiig did much to "Perfect" calculations based on i 'e I m o'v 'aM,6,n celestial bodies.

The basis of this thought, the same premise that stars, gods or no gods, do affect thelives of mortals, persists in this 20th century even. Though the world has changed. Nowmodern Astrologers talk about Radiation, Magnetic waves etc. and harp on the same.

strings that stars do affect the fortunes of people., - The bases of calculation remainthe same as worked out five or six thousand years ago. Astrologers think that all planets,

7 in number (no-w nine), move along a belt called Zodiac. This Zodiac, is divided- in,12 Houses or, "Burooi". Every House has -distinctive, characteristicsand has direct link with some aspect of human life wealth, poverty, children, etc

These stars have been arbitrarily given good and bad attributes. Astrologers have,cartaincalculations according to which they judge a person to belong to some House and predictthe main events of his life on a sheet which is called Horoscope.

SHOULD ASTROLOGY BE RELIED' UPON ?

Whether it should be relied upon or not or it serves any useful purpose, people goafter finding out a true Astrologer by spending a lot of money but let us examine to whatpurpo se. Assuming that one finds out a true Astrologer who correctly tells future, what

benefit or loss one derives therefrom ? If the Astrologer forecasts for one that he would_become very big person or miiiionnairewithin 2 to 5yearsor-any periodnamed. Of coursethis would be a very good news but the anxiety and suspense it would bring, would beterrible and may make the person very unhappy and even drive him mad. He, inanticipation of acquiring position and/or riches may incur debts which may lead him totroubles if the prophecy does not come true or is delayed. In another way if the prophecyis for any thing bad, i.e. any calamity, financial or physical ' i.e. accident within certgcinr: period ' the person would become unhappy in advance And in' trying to avert whichcannot be averted if destined goes into lot of expenses and anxiety which may also drivehim mad besides making him unhappy. It is argued that if one would come to know inadvance of any calamity he could do some Sada4a (Charity) (Sadqa Bala Rad- Calamity.can. be averted by giving Sgdaqei). It is true but why Sadaqa should not be given withoutanticipating any calamity.

OTHER METHODS OF FORESEEING FUTURE

Islam does not favour the farseeing of future. It is totally forbidden to take augury oromen through any medium and believe in it.

The reason for it being forbidden is obvious. If any one presages or comes to knowanyhow about future happenings he will either try to, forestall, prevent or hasten the sameaccording to his whim, fancy or liking. If he comes to know about coming of anymisfortune, he will try to avoid it though that calamity might be one, which if happenedwould have warded off a greater calamity in store for him. By avoiding that lesser evil hemight expose him to that greater calamity about which he knew nothing.

AN ANECDOTE FROM MASNAVI MAULANA ROOMI

Maulana Jalaluddin Roomi has narrated a story in his great Masnavi. It runs asfollows:

A man requested the Prophet of his time to pray to Allah to grant him power ofunderstanding the sounds (dialects) of all the Animals. The Prophet tried to dissuade himfrom it saying that what Allah has hidden from His creatures is not to be discovered, asthere may be harm in it. The man insisted. On the request of the Prophet Allah gave thatman the power he sought. On his return, he heard his dog complaining to his, cock that he

did not got enough food. The cock replied that he should not worry as on the followingday a goat belonging to his master would die and the dog would have his fill. Oh, hearingthis the man disposed off the goat and thus prevented the loss. Next day he overheard thedog complaining and calling the cock a liar. The cock replied that it was not a liar. Thegoat did die but the master was shrewd and sold dff the goat which died in the house ofthe new owner. But the dog was not to worry as now the turn was that of his horse. Theman at once got rid of the horse in similar manner. Then the turn of his camel and slavecame. When the slave also died in the house of his new,owner, the dog said to the cockthat it was certainly a liar, as all his forceasts proved untrue. The cock replied that it wasnot a liar. The master acted foolishly. In fact there were two- men in that town and it wasordained by Allah that one of them was to die and for the man owing all these things was

to suffer slight monetary loss by the death of his pet goat. He averted that loss by sellingit. Then his horse was to die as it was to be that he suffered a loss. He averted that losstoo by disposing off his horse, and so was the case of camel and the slave. The manaverted those tosses by getting rid of them. On the other hand the man whose time was upunconsciously bought all those things which were to die by the will of Allah andsustained monetary losses one after the other. So the fates changed. The man who was todie would now live and the man who tried to change his fate was to die on the followingday.

The moral of this story, states Maulana Roomi, - hat, one should not try to ftnd outwhat is in store ".,him in fttture. If it were the will of Allah to. give ' wer of foreseeingfuture. He would have bestowed upon him this power. But in some matters.ignorano, isbliss.

Thesepersons were., ia s source for spread of Islam and commanded! great,' pect from massesfor their piety. Some designing peqple, imitating such persons cropped up and misledand:are still misleading innocent people, ..in the guise of, piety and holiness.

GENII AND MUWAKALS

It has been claimed by mystics that they can dontrol Genii and Muwakals -- somesorts of beings 1 en. trustedwith certainpeculiirpo*eis- -and'throiigh-thest mediatheycould performacttofwodderbothpkasant and unpleasant,pacifying andhorrifyft*, '-beneficialand harmful. Forthis purposethey makdiisebf Quranic Verses and invocations.

Similarly, the unbelievers-Hindus and aboriginals allover the world where the exist,who resort to the profession of witch-craft, clai m to nerform imilar acts by chanting'mantars' (spells) and invokin& ties which are devillish in nature; while the are for goodorcanbe evil purposes, the. latteratemadc use of.for bad and destructive matters., Jutt asmystics claim to control the 'MUWAKALS' the.,Hindus claim to control 'Bair.

Agaih, we find the same thing in Greek mythology - there they have two kindsof'gods-for good purpose and for evil purpose. They claim to get their work done-eitherfor the fulfilment of their desires or for suppressing and subduing their enemies-byincantations and invoking the respective gods.

In both the Hindu and Greek mythology, one will find strange, fantastic and purelyimaginative forms of their so-called gods or deities.

If seriously considered and logically analysed it will be found that such Wonder Actsare' either mere illusions and hallucination or the psychological effects created by Auto-suggestion or mass su gge stion dubbed on the victims.

Magic, Sorcery' Astrology, and some' Occult Sciences are in fact attempts of Mantowards spiritualism but through means contrary to Divine injunctions. Allah hasdenounced Magic as false, wrought plan, a craft and has positively declared that it willnot succeed.

Astrology is based on wrong assumptions. The calculations made on theseassumptions cannot be relied upon. Moreover, Islam does not allow such attempts toforesee future through so-called Occult Sciences.

Subjugation of spirits, Muwwakils, Bair, etc., is also claimed by some persons, bothMuslims and nonMuslims. But on analysis the most that can be said with certainty is thatmostly the 4e, am illusions and psychological effects.

WHAT A MUSLIM SHOULD DO ?We have clearly shown most of the persons claiming to ward off effects of magic are

either false or designing persons who have only one object, in their minds -- to extortmoney in the name of "curing" persons from the evil effects of magic. In fact they fleeceinnocent people. People are strongly advised not to fall prey to such tricksters andquacks. Authenticity of Taweez and Doa's given by them is not known. Our Holy Prophet(S.A.) and the Imams ' have taught us many Doa's which if recited as - prescribed willsurely benefit the sufferer of Magic-Inshaallah.

DOA' No. 23 OF SAHIFA-E-KAMELABYHAZRAT IMAM ZAINUL ABEDEEN (A.S.)The following Doa' is from Sahifa-e-Kamela, of Imam Zainul Abodeen (A.S.).*

This,Doa' is for safety from all ills, witchcrafts, diseases and oppression. When needed, itmay -be recited after any wajib prayer daily till the affliction is removed. It is better tokeep one fixed time for its recitation, e.g. if one starts to recite it after morning prayer oneshould always recite after morning prayer till the purpose is served. i.e. the affliction isremoved or danger has passed, one should offer two rakat namaz and recite this Doa' withintention to offer thanks.

My God I O' Lord! always give me, grace to perform the Hajjl and Omrah2, and tovisit the tomb of Your Prophet-Your blessings on him, and Your mercy and favours onhim and his Aill (progeny)-and tombs of the Aill (progeny) of Your Prophet, peace be onthem, as long as You keep me alive, in my present year and every future year.

And let this be accepted, approved, remembered by You and stored up by You.

Pregnancy ; for avoiding premattuc birth, or abortion; for easy delivery of clOW-, *avoiding early death of children, for ailments of children, such as weaning, weeping andother diseases for %ealth and Prosperity for removing poverty and orrics.

The so-called diviners have their paid agents who indirectly canvass for them andknow the &.,ires of the victims and tell them so that when the victims approach them forthe solution of their difficulties they. foretell them and secure their confidence wherebyto, squoeze,them. One instance may here be quote that a dismissed Railway StationMaster who knew morse siggaiii ng gathered some accomplices and taught them morsecode and he biinswf made his abooe on a tree. These accomplices used to sing Bhajansaccompanied by tick tick of morse signalling by which they informed him the desire of

the victims visiting from whom thty-first usedtofindouttheirdesire6. Before the victimsdisclosed their desires he used to tell them their desires. -rhe victinn thus had coiifidencein him an,,i thus allowed themselves to be fleeced Once a Station Master who also knewmore signalling, visited and when the accomplices started informing him morsesignalling he understood- and he was expos6d ,.vith Oiqgrace.

(4)Mark -what a believer among the people of Pharaoh says to an other believerAnd you shall remember what I SaY to YOU and I Entrust my affair to God; God

sees weii ,(iiis) servants. (Qura)a 40: 44)(5)Try this infallible preseiiption of '-tntrusting your affairs to Allah" with full

confidence and see for yourself the most wonderful effect. It will save your precioustime, it will relieve you from unnecessary aneties and worries, it will protect you fromrunning from pillar to post in search of pseudo diviners-the tricksters, the quacks, themoney grabbers-it will unfailingly offer you the most required comfr'ont, solace andpeace of mind.

(6)Instead of going to and begging from the parasites in the garb Of religion, whynot involve implore and supplicate Allah the Omnipresent who is sure to come to yoursuccour and rescue Says the Holy Prophet (S.A.) 'Doa' (supplication) is the sure weaponof a believer.'

(7)Instead of emptying your pockets of. your hard earned money and filling pocketsof the vily money grabber, why dolf t you give in,'Sadaqa charity ? Said the 14olyProphet (S.A.) -Charity wards off evil."

TERRIBLE END OF BLACK MAGIC - DOERS

Janab Hasan Askari laffery -who translated the Nahjul Balagha in English told one ofthe Trustees of Peermahomed Ebrahim Trust in 1950s in Kazmain Sharif that members ofa family were fighting legal cases in court and one group used to lose all cases. Thisgroup having no hope of winning in court, contacted a Black Magic-doer and gave himRs. 10,000/to kill the members of tht' winning group. No sooner he started, lots BlackMagic, he got- stungby a scorpion and suffereatorture. Again he started and fell fracturinhisleg-Whenagainhostated'sotnebodywarned him in the dream that he would not be,successful as the other side had something superior for its protection on which hereturned Rs. 10,000/- and tried7to; make friendship with the other side to know whatsuperior thing they had. After making close, friendship he found out that their mother

used to pray daily. Doa' No. 23 for Afiyat (protection) from Sahefa-e-Kamela by HazratZainul A!bedeen (A.S.). PEERMAHOMED EBRAHIM TRUST, KARACI4I-5, hasprinted this book in Eiiglish which contains many effective Doa's for different desires.

He narrated another incident also in which the effect of recitation of this Doa' No. 23had on the doer of Black Magic that he was attacked by buf fato and ultimately hebecame mad and dashed his head against a tree and got seriously injured.

In their old, age;;they , become totally infirm - and 'Weak bdth in mind andphysique. They are at the mercy of others. person who sacrifices his tranquility, peace ofmind and faith in order to acquire it. This rule does not confine to the money earnedthrough witchcraft and sorcery, but holds good to all ill-gotten wealth, be it by usury,

worms germinates. in ,,their bodies giving put., stinking unbearable odqur. inon canapproach them. They, then long to die )ut death seems to be- farthest off. They wriggleand writhe in extreme pain. There is no peace of mind for them. Their last moment plightsends shudders and creepers to the viewers. They wish they were dead, but they sufferagonies of death for long time. They do not have conscien'cre, even to repent for theirpast misdeeds and fitiall die., an ignoble death .-none pitying them, noi3c showing anymercy for them-none feeling sorrow- none weeping.

Let us pray to Allah that He may save us from these wicked people through the;

intercession of ;Chardah Masoomeen (A.S.) and keep us on the RIGHT -PATH.

Verily, Allah puts His servants due to their bad deeds on trial by decreasing theproduction of fruits, by sto in pp 9 benediction and by sealing the treagures of virtues sothat the penitent may seek penitence, abstainer may abstain, rememberer of Allah mayremember Him and the solicitor of lesson may learn.
