Michelle Peluso, president and chief executive officer of Travelocity,

is recognized as a leader who puts the customer first. She is a third

generation entrepreneur who has innovated to achieve revenue growth,

vaulting Travelocity to become the sixth largest travel agency worldwide.

At 35 years old, she has amassed a resume of varied experiences that

range from launching a nationally recognized, last-minute travel Web site,

to serving as a White House Fellow, to earning a master’s degree in

economics, philosophy, and politics at Oxford. Peluso is also committed to

charitable causes including TechnoServe, which helps people in poor rural

areas of the world develop entrepreneurial skills.

Geraldine A. Ferraro is a principal in the government relations practice

of the national law firm, Blank Rome, but she earned a place in history as

the first woman vice-presidential candidate on a national party ticket in

1984. Today, she counsels clients on public policy issues and has handled

matters before the United Nations, the U.S. Government, and the Confer-

ence of Mayors, among others. She is active in the nation’s foreign policy

arena, and also serves as a political analyst for FOX News and a columnist

for The New York Times Syndicate. An accomplished author, Ferraro has

written numerous articles and three books, including Geraldine Ferraro:

Changing History.

After serving for 12 years as head of the Lincoln School in Providence,

Joan Countryman helped launch Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy

for Girls in South Africa. She served as interim head of the school through

its opening and first term until April 2007. During Countryman’s long and

distinguished career in education, she has served as a teacher and director

of studies at Germantown Friends School in Pennsylvania. She’s lectured

at the University of Pennsylvania, consulted to the School District of

Philadelphia, and written several publications including Writing to Learn

Mathematics (1992) and Black Images in American Literature (1977).
