BehindtheScenes…The four Armenian churches came together to remember our saints at St. Sarkis ArmenianApostolicChurchonWednesday,April 24th. Abig thankyou toAlbertaGodoshianwhowas the liaison for theGuildandthemastermindonorganizingallfourchurchesandtheirrolesfortheevening.ThankyoutoJoy Callan, Barb Rupas, and Linda Houhanisin who sliced 4 heads of brick cheese and 50 loaves ofCheoregandarrangedthemonplatters.GeorgeSaboonjiangraciouslydeliveredthemtoSt.Sarkisthatafternoon.ImettheladiesfromSt.SarkisandtheCongregationalChurchandweworkedtogetherinthekitchentowashandcutthegrapes.AstheChairoftheWomen’sGuild,IwasinvitedtoattendtheChurchService.IwasoverwhelmedbythecommunityandpeoplefromallthechurchesalongwiththechoirunderthedirectionofDeaconRubikand organist May Lafian. They sounded beautiful. Calling all Little Saints!
The Little Saints Committee invites all families with children 4 and under to join us in the church nursery each month for a morning of play, activities, and interaction with one another. Whether you've attended before or are brand new, you and your little ones are welcome! Our group includes children with their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and more!
The next event is Saturday, May 18. Doors open at 9:45am with the program taking place from 10-11:00am.
In addition to our normal activities for our May event, we will celebrate our 4 year olds who will "step up" to Pre-K Sunday School in the fall. Father Aren will also invite these 4 year olds to come forward at church during Sunday School graduation for a special blessing.
Keep an eye on the weekly bulletin for announcements regarding upcoming Little Saints events, and please help spread the word about this wonderful group now established in the St. John community.
