The Students of

The Dance Academy proudly present

Thank you all for joining us here this evening at The Dance Academy’s 10th annual dance recital.

We are delighted to welcome those of you that have been with us from the beginning, as well as those of you who are new to our dance family.  The recital is an important and special occasion in the dance year as it showcases all the hard work that our students, parents, and instructors put in during the season. Just before we get started, we would like to express our gratitude to all of you who so generously helped make this event come together smoothly- we couldn't have done it without you! We continue to be amazed at the support, love and friendship we receive from our “dance family” throughout the year! Thanks for another great year- enjoy the show!

The Joe MacDonald Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded annually by The Dance Academy, in memory of Joe MacDonald. The award is proudly presented by Sophie Tucker, granddaughter of Joe MacDonald.

Mr. MacDonald was a huge supporter of dance and music and believed that the arts encouraged us to strive for and reach our full potential as both an artist and as a person.

This scholarship of $500 will be awarded annually to two students, between the ages of 10 and 13, who exemplify not only a love of dance, but an appreciation of the art form. Their dedication in and out of the studio shows through their work ethic, attitude, and attendance. It is designed to assist students in achieving their goals in furthering their dance education as well as to provide opportunities for personal growth. Students not only benefit financially from the program, they also learn what it means to be a leader, to assume responsibilities and to tap into their creative potential.

This year we are extremely excited to honour two outstanding students- Ashley Lucas and Chloe O’Keefe
