Our Mission
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School, with its proud Roman Catholic heritage, is committed to promoting academic excellence, individual responsibility, and spiritual awareness among our students so they may live more fully in
relationship with God and others.
Fall Pictures
Holland Studios sent picture proofs home by email for your child’s Fall Portrait. The email contains the student’s picture proof along with a unique student pin number and ordering information. SFA has decided to have all orders placed online or by phone to eliminate the school collecting money and handling the passing out final orders. You will have the following options to order your pictures: • Online - fastest, most effective way for ordering - with your student’s individual unique
student pin number. Orders print and ship to your home within 48 hours of being received.
• Phone - call Holland Studios at 901-362-1818 to order portraits. Your order will be shipped to your home.
Orders placed online and by phone will be mailed to the address entered for shipping and will be charged a shipping fee. You are able to combine multiple children’s fall portraits into one order to save on shipping costs, too. St. Francis receives a portion of the sales from picture orders. We ask that you order within the deadline set by Holland Studio. Orders placed after the deadline may not be counted towards the school’s final total. If you have not received a link for your child’s photo, please feel free to contact Anne Fortwengler at Holland Studios to have a link sent to your email. She can be reach at [email protected] or 901-362-1818.
Make-Up Picture Day
Fall make-up picture day is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 13th. If your child did not have their photo taken on Aug. 29th, please send them to school dressed in their Mass Day uniform including the sweater or vest.

Morning Drop-Off
SFA offers Early Care for students arriving early to campus from 7:00-7:35 am every day at NO charge.
Parents with students in grades 1-8 should drop their child at the Early Care entrance located on the far side of campus at the SFA Cafe’. Parents with students in
the ECC (3K, 4K, and Kindergarten) should pull into the center drop-off area, park their car, walk their child in to
the Multi-Purpose Room and sign them in.
To ensure the safety and security of all students, please do not allow your child to exit your car before 7:40 am and wait unattended at a school
entrance that is not monitored by a SFA teacher/staff member.
If you arrive to campus after 7:50 am and the entrance doors are closed, please park your car in a visitor parking spot and walk your child into the Front Office.
Workbook Fees and PTO Dues
Workbook fees and PTO dues will be billed to students’ FACTS accounts this month and will be due on September 15th. Workbook fees vary by grade level.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tina Sosnowski in the Business Office at [email protected] or 901-388-7321.
Student Check-Out Reminder
All early check-outs must take place before 2:30 pm in the afternoon.
Any parent/guardian arriving after 2:30 pm wanting to check their child out early will need to wait until dismissal at 3:00 pm. This is to ensure the safety and security
of all our students and parents during afternoon dismissal. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding!

Meet Another New Face at SFA
Mrs. Mandie Cool joined the SFA family last May as the new Admin. Assistant in the front office. She has quickly become the “go to” person for all things SFA! Mandie and her husband moved to Memphis in 2008 from Japan with their 4 children. In 2012, they adopted an amazing baby girl. This began their journey at SFA when Lizzie started at Camp Timberwolf. They have been parishioners at the SFA Church since 2008. “God
truly answered my prayers (almost 2 years of praying) to work at this school and be on my daughter’s schedule. Getting to know so many amazing people that work at this school and to meet so many new faces of parents and students; is honestly amazing and I am so thankful,” said Mrs. Cool.
In her spare time, Mandie helps her youngest DIY her Barbie house and her Barbies, loves to help out with rescue animals and enjoys cheering on her favorite teams - the Florida Gators and the New England Patriots. Mrs. Cool is originally from the Berkshires of Massachusetts and her family travels there each a year to spend time with family and friends. It might surprise you to know that Mrs. Cool LOVES when it SNOWS! Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Cool to our school!

Helping Hands
Calling All Busy Parents! While it is true that all of us have less free time today than we would like and we used to, what hasn't changed is parents' love for their
children and the desire to be actively involved in their school. We are offering quick and easy ways to lend a hand that requires no on-going commitment for
those that want to help but whose schedules get in the way. It could be anything from cutting out laminated vocabulary cards for a teacher to folding Christmas
programs. Each week in our Wolf Pack Weekly, you will find a Helping Hand that will list a few ways the school could use your help that week. Don't underestimate the gift of your few minutes…Every minute your Helping Hands offer us, frees us
up to do what we do best; serve the children.
This week:
• Be a substitute in the SFA Café prepping food, cashiering, etc. Contact Ms. Sandra Cole for more details at [email protected]
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered and shared their Helping Hands with our school!! Your help makes all the difference!

July 5, 2019 To All Volunteers Every year the St. Ann Special Athletes Fun Day is held for special athletes of all ages to participate in a day of fun and fellowship. This year’s event will be held on October 12th at Christian Brothers High School. Our annual participation has grown to more than 125 athletes that we minister to with field events, entertainment and most of all support and love. This endeavor is not taken on with one small group but with the help of approximately 350 - 400 volunteers who do everything from move boxes to coordinate field events. The reason we have contacted you is to ask for your support. This is a great way to earn Service Hours. We give all Volunteers T-shirts that day along with complimentary breakfast and lunch. Need to arrive at 8:00am and plan on staying till 1:00pm earning 5 Service Hours. Please bring your school’s Service Hour form to be filled out. Volunteers do not need to preregister. Just come to CBHS field at 8:00A.M. on October 12th . If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 901-388-8623. I thank you in advance for your support and God bless you!
