screw

tool
provided,

the switch

the OFF
trnsition,

lens ring

unscrewed

the body

removal

batteries or bulb and replacement. Ttre lanp is intended to
be
oSnned
only
in
a non hazardous
area, and
not left
open
longer
than
is
required
to
change
a battery
or bu1b.
Ttre
plastic
reflector
and lens
ring
wtrich
may
be made
of
trnlycarbonate
or toughened
glass,
are clamtrnd
tight
against
a
gasket
in the lens
ring
by the
reflector
retaining
ring,
which
screws
into
the lens ring.
the
pre-focus
bulb
rated
at 3.6,
3.8 or 4
volts I anp

pressed
into
the back
of
the
reflector
by
a
spring
loaded
bulb
cover
which screws
into
the
back
of the
reflector,
thus
forming
a further
enclosure
of IP54
within
the main IP54
enclosure
for
the back
of the
bulb.

retainer
prevents
the batteries
from
coming
forward
and damaging
tLre bulb holder fixing in ttre
reflector.
Ttre
circuit includes
a L.25
amp
ceramic
body
mineral
filfed
cartridge fuse.
The
srritch
is a hermetically
sealed
reed switch
otrnrated
from
a sliding
magnet
assembly
external
to the
main
enclosure, mounted
conveniently
below
the
carrying handle,
rrtttich
affords it
protect.ion
from
impact.
The
reed
switch
wtrich
is hermetically
sealed
in
glass
is
protected
by
Spcial Protection,
under
trnragraph
5.2 of
SFA
3009 z L972.
