High Level Benefits to implementing SBO4  SBO4 seamlessly integrates with SAP Business One V9 and above to provide accurate information to the business and use the complete multiple bin functionality of SAP Business One.  SBO4 processes include product labelling, goods receiving, scan picking and packing (including EDI compliance), stock and bin transfers, stocktaking, and proof of delivery.  Improved warehouse processes increase customer satisfaction through better fill­rate management, improved accuracy and faster turn­around times.  SBO4 is purposely built for SAP Business One and is certified by SAP.     

Goods Flow through the warehouse  From sales order entry to fulfillment, SAP Business One and SBO4 provides a complete solution for the real­time inventory visibility throughout the business.  This document highlights a high­level process flow and the available functionality within SBO4:

Goods Receiving  A purchase order is created in SAP Business One by the user. The goods arrive to the warehouse and the user uses the SBO4 software on the PDA device to enter in the Purchase Order number or the Purchase Order numbers.  The user will bring up the purchase orders on the PDA device and this will allow the user to start identifying the products which are being unloaded by scanning. The user can scan the products in any sequence.  SBO4 will validate the items against multiple purchase orders, and then seamlessly update SAP Business One with a Goods Receipt PO (GRPO). It will also update the Purchase Orders in SAP Business One by closing them if all items have been received. No more paperwork.  Once the information is sent to SAP Business One and the GRPO is created, SAP Business One has placed them into a bin location called RECEIPT. Stock now may be immediately put away to its bin locations, and all information will be updated into the multiple bin location feature of SAP Business One.  Most of the time, stock will be put­away following goods receipt. Using the bin transfer function with SBO4 the users will be able to scan the products and then scan the bin locations and complete the transfers. Multiple transfers can be completed and then once completed send and uploaded into SAP Business One. Using the DI API all stock movements and bin locations will be updated.       

Sales Orders  Sales orders are placed by phone, or email and are typically entered into SAP Business One manually using Sales order entry function. Sales Orders may also be placed using EDI or an import from another external source such as website or remote sales.  From here the users can then use the Pick and Pack manager to release the sales orders. Using the pick and pack manager the sales orders can be released into a pick id and the SBO4 solution can retrieve the pick id’s. The user selects the pick id on the PDA and can pick the items.  When releasing the sales through the Pick and Pack manager, the user can release multiple orders into one pick id for a wave pick and can use methodologies such as FIFO, LIFO and Bin Allocation order.  The pick and pack manager will inform the user whether there is enough stock in the picking locations and if there is not enough stock then a replenishment task can be completed.  The SBO4 solutions supports the wave picking and can print labels for units / carton / pallets. It supports printing SSCC labels for EDI. Batch picking and serial picking is supported using SBO4. Pre allocation is managed through the pick and pack manager of SAP Business One.  SBO4 downloads the pick ids onto the PDA’s using the DI API. Only one PDA can scan pick one pick id. Once the pick id is downloaded onto the PDA the sales order lines will appear in bin location order. The user can scan the products and the quantities will increment. The unit of measure function of SAP Business One can be accommodated for both the receiving and sales order function. If the product comes with inner, outer and pallet and has different barcodes this can be entered into the unit of measure field with the appropriate barcodes into SAP Business One.  Once the pick has been completed by the SBO4 software, the sales order will be closed and the delivery document will be automatically created. If there is any remaining amount that could not be picked this will be placed into the Open section of the Pick and Pack manager. When the products which have been short picked can be supplied the lines must be released again.  Using SBO4 you can have a completely paperless warehouse and and to increase accuracy all goods are scanned and validated during the picking process. Scan picking the bin location is supported and all bin locations are updated in SAP Business One.  SBO4 captures the picker id against each pick. Therefore UDF’s can be added against the delivery document to know which picker has completed the pick. KPI reports can then be run 

from SAP Business One to know how many picks per day by the picker and how many delivery lines have been picked by each picker.   

Stocktake  Stocktakes are initialized in SAP Business One. The SBO4 solution can then retrieve the valid stocktake and allows users to use multiple PDA’s to scan the products to validate the counts. Supports batch and serial stocktake. Bin locations can be scanned during the stocktake to capture accurate counts for each bin location in each warehouse. When the user has completed the stocktake on the PDA units they commit the stocktake count. All counts are consolidated using the SBO4 software and then posted back into the inventory count table of SAP Business One. The user can review the counts in the SAP Business One inventory count screen and then when reviewed can post the counts in SAP Business One.  

Proof of Delivery  The SBO4 software supports a proof of delivery function. Users can capture a signature against a sales order document or delivery document. On the Proof of Delivery software the user can select the customer and capture a signature of the customer. The user can then send this information back directly into SAP Business One. A UDF field is created and this will store the link to the jpeg file. This jpeg file has the signature and date and time of the signature, plus the name of the person signing for the goods. This jpeg can be imbedded into the invoice document of SAP Business One.   

Conclusion  SBO4 is a complete warehouse management system with complete integration into SAP Business One V9 and above. It is a certified SAP Business One Add On and is also on the SAP Store.
