Expand the bus activity database in order to characterize transit bus activity
Log vehicle operation parameters The outcome of this project will help
transit agencies in the U.S. improve bus procurement for specific applications and with the understanding of transit bus activity.

Routes of Interest
Inner city - congested operation: very low average speed (less than 6 or 7 mph)
Express, highway, interstate: commuter type of service with high speed operation, high average speed (30 mph to 50 mph)
Routes with intermediate speeds: 20 mph to 30 mph average speed.
