Lab proc EV group Meetings• 6th of November, phone meeting Japan reported validation phase 2 result • 15th of November F to F meeting in

Brussels.• Validation phase 2 result was reported by

ACEA. • Open issues were discussed. Some of open issues were closed.• 9th of January ,phone meeting Discussed some open issues and proposal

Validation phase 2 resultItems Validation results Conclusion

Time after Range test until start of charging .Current proposal within [30 minutes]

30 minutes is too short. Within 2 hours(same as ISO)

Order of CD and CS test

There is no impact. Order of test should be flexible.

RCB correctionRegulated pollutant(NOx,HC,CO,PM,PN)

There is no impact Regulated pollutant should not be corrected

RCB correction windowCurrent proposal Within 1 %

To be analyzed VP2 result.

To be discussed at beginning of March.

Vehicle classificationCurrent proposal30 minute maximum power

30 minutes power is not appreciate ?

To be discussed at beginning of March.

Break off criteria for Range testJapanese proposal4sec and within 15secstop

VP2 were conducted by 4sec.According to test result, deceleration within 15 sec is dangerous at high speed.

To be discussed at beginning of March.

Vehicle classification for BEV

•Revision of PMR ⇒ Current PMR * coefficient X % for BEV ?

•Definition of Power & Speed: 30min max power/30min max speed

•Is “out of scope” necessary for the vehicle that cannot keep the target speed tolerance of Low phase ?

•The information for the customer regarding driving range that measured by different test cycle shall be considered.

•OVC-HEV,NOVC-HEV has same issues.

Matters of concern

Validation phase 2 resultItems Validation results Conclusion

CD to CS mode break off clitella.

Japan proposed the criteria based on fuel consumption.

To be discussed at beginning of March

Break time between cycleCurrent :10minutes

Proposal is too short.Especially diesel vehicle needs at least 40 min.

Open issuesItems Proposal Conclusion

Run in mileage.BEV 300 km

OVC HEV and NOVC HEV should be same as ICE vehicle.3000-10000km

Agreed

Soak conditionForced cooling

Not allow forced cooling conditionBecause electrified vehicle performance does not depends on water and oil temperature.

To be discussed at beginning of March

Utility Factor ACEA will propose a calculation method.

Confirmation test• Shorten test procedure for BEV range test.

• Calculation method for each phase range by complete WLTC.

• CD to CS break off criteria confirmation

• RCB correction window confirmation

• Soak condition with charging

• Break time between the cycle

To be prepared “Confirmation item list and action plan” until March.
