WKOI Richmond, Indiana Report for August 2016 Local Food Pantry WKOI partners each month with Gateway Church in Richmond in its food pantry outreach to needy individuals and families. WKOI furnishes non-perishable items that participants might otherwise not be able to access. This month we provided items like bath tissue, paper towels, facial wipes, and kitchen trash bags, and were able to help nearly 300 families through this great partnership. Joy in Our Town We had guest Pat Newcomb (left) from the Entrepreneurs Center in Dayton, Ohio, who talked about economy and focused on business ownership. We also welcomed Cliff Nunn (right), Church Relations Officer with the Wernle Youth and Family Treatment Center in Richmond, who talked about youth and focused on the dangers lurking online to threaten young people. We welcomed Joe Henry (left) of Wayne County's Economic Development Corporation in Richmond, who discussed the economy and focused on workforce development. Tim Scales (center) of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Indiana University- East and Robert Mulligan (right), Dean of IU-East's School of Business, discussed the changes that have come to both the local and national economy.

Local Food Pantry

WKOI partners each month with Gateway Church inRichmond in its food pantry outreach to needy individualsand families. WKOI furnishes non-perishable items thatparticipants might otherwise not be able to access. Thismonth we provided items like bath tissue, paper towels,facial wipes, and kitchen trash bags, and were able to helpnearly 300 families through this great partnership.

Joy in Our Town

We also welcomed Pastor Chris Monaghan (left) and LindaWhite (right) from the Food Pantry at Gateway Church inRichmond, who spoke about Gateway's outreach to the needy inour community. Pastor Chris also did a second segment onyouth and focused on the epidemic of self-harm (cutting), that isafflicting some young people.

Local Praise the Lord

This month on our local Praise the Lord programs we welcomed host pastors Tim LeMaster from Only Believe Ministries in Botkins, Ohio and Lawrence Bishop from SolidRock Church in Lebanon, Ohio. We also welcomed Pastor Paul Mitchell from Revival Center Ministries in Dayton, Ohio and Pastor Curtus Moak from Hamilton Christian Center in Hamilton, Ohio, who hosted two powerful local Praise the Lord programs.
