Secretary’s Report

Hello Bay Area, We hope that all is going well all of you. We sent out the minutes last month (as opposed to the RSO sending them) as the RSO was only shipping one day a week. If that is still the case when we prepare to send out this month’s minutes, we will send them from here again. If the RSO happens to be back to normal business, we’ll send minutes out through them. We are still trying to update all of the contact info that we have. So please check the Contact Page and make sure your phone number is correct. If you are no longer a GSR or Alt GSR (or other trusted servant of a group) and you receive the minutes via postal mail, please let us know so that we can remove you from the mailing list. We spend a pretty penny in printing and mailing, and if we could save some of that, we could pass that along to help the next struggling addict. If you need anything at all please don’t hesitate to contact us. UPDATE: ASC for July will be held on Zoom only. Due to the recent spike in Covid cases, Admin decided not to hold ASC at Terra Nova. The next RSC is planned for June 19-21, which is also the FRCNA drive. We will need a vote on the RSC budget by the next area. The RCM team is submitting the same budget as last year in the amount of $3218 New Business- We will be meeting at the Rosen for RSC July 19-21. FRCNA has been cancelled for 2020.

Administrative All is well. We are available for any questions or concerns. We had started planning on having a “Hybrid” ASC for the month of July. Given the amount of Covid cases in our area we are going to plan to hold July’s ASC on Zoom only. Hopefully we’ll be able to return to Terra Nova soon.

Activities We had moved our subcommittee meetings to Terra Nova at the end of May, but in light of the current situation, we as a Subcommittee we will be deciding what we will be doing as far as moving the meeting back to Zoom is concerned. Web Admin Web Servant Report June 2020 Web Admin did scout Terra Nova Hardware to determine capability to support Hybrid Zoom Meetings, along with individual testing. As Is, TN will require additional equipment to support voice capture, however with their existing projector and sound system, we are partially able to run a coherent Hybrid Meeting today. Since we have delayed meeting at TN for another month, we will take this time to attempt to remedy the foreseen troubles as best as we can. We have been keeping the meeting list updated as facilities/meetings open up. We’re also following the Bay Area Recovery Facebook page as sometimes meeting openings and Zoom links are posted there. Please let us know if your meeting (or you know of a meeting) that has either open up to live/in-person meeting or if anything has changed with Zoom or your meeting days/times. That is all.
