GRAVITY

The Point Faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you cannot see.

LEADERS NOTES It’s not every day that teenagers are encouraged to think about their faith. This week, we want to give them a foundational understanding of what faith actually is and what it looks like. Help your students really evaluate where they are when it comes to their faith in God, and help them discover what they want their faith to look like in their lives.

SWITCH GROUPS

Video segment 1

1.   How do you think the world would be different if we lived in zero gravity?

2.   What’s one thing you’d do if there were zero gravity on Earth?

3.   How does gravity determine how we live on a day-to-day basis? Give examples.

Video segment 2 1.   How would you define faith?

2.   Other than God, what’s something you put your faith in? Why do you put your faith in that?

3.   Would you say you’re a religious person, a person of faith, or neither? Why would you say that? Give examples of how you are what you say you are.

Video segment 3 1.   How would you describe your faith in God? Why would you describe it that way?

2.   Look up and read Hebrews 11:1.

3.   What do you think this verse means?

4.   What are some ways you feel like your faith in God is strong?

5.   What are some ways you feel like your faith in God is weak?

6.   How can you go about strengthening your faith?
