A young pop artist Wizkid is a quite popular musician of the Nigeria. He is a songwriter, recording artist, singer and performer of Lagos, Nigeria. He starts his professional career just at 11th years old by releasing a 7 tracks recorder ‘Lil Prinz’ (2001). He got the several prestige achievements from the music industries of the Nigeria and Africa, he won the many awards and got the proud as a nomination, including BET award, the MOBO awards in three nominations, four Nigerian Entertainment Awards from 15 nominations! Etc.
His debut album “Superstar” released on 12th June, 2011. This album launched under the Empire Mates Entertainment label and it’s supported by six singles, including 'Holla at Your Boy', 'Tease Me/Bad Guys' and 'Love My Baby'. “Superstar” recorder is second most selling albums on NotJustOk website.
“Ayo” is the second studio album of Wizkid and it is released on September 17, 2014 by star boy and label under Empire Mates Entertainment. This recorder has 18 tracks including 6 single by him. His both albums are quite popular in the Nigeria. Wizkid songs of both this album are available on the internet or on NotJustOk and YouTube.
He gives the credit of his mentor to the Naeto C, a far popular Nigerian rapper and he has taken the training by him at age 15.'Paurumo', 'Jaiye Jaiye', 'Caro', 'Thank You', 'Love My Baby', 'Only Man She Want (Remix)', 'Baddest Boy', 'Sexy Mama', 'U Go Kill Me (Remix)' and Wizkid Azonto are the top 10 Wizkid songs ever hit.
Wizkid is also popular in the social media, he has more than 1.45 Million followers on the Twitter and always linked to their follower or fan through the social media.
Empire Mates State of Mind is a compilation album of Wizkid that released under the Empire Mates Entertainment label, it has 22 tracks including ‘Baddest Boy’ and ‘Dance For Me’ is the top popular Wizkid songs from the record. This studio album released on Spinlet for brand promoting.
In 2012, Wizkid signed a one-year endorsement deal with Pepsi and brand again renewed two years more contract. He also signed a one-year deal with MTN Group in 2013.
He also became a victim of impersonation in 2013 by a group of Unilag students, the police investigate the truth behind it but ultimately he proved innocent.
Wizkid till today performed on the many world stage, including HMV Apollo, London in June, 2013. He also performed at the Guinness Colorful World alongside Hottest Artists Nigeria like D'banj, P-Square, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Ice Prince, Olamide, Burna Boy and Phyno, among others.
