EXHIBITOR INFORMATION
ARENA POLICY: There will be no lunging at all in the warm up arena whenever a session is going on, and 30 minutes before any session. Horses being ridden or driven will take precedence over those being lunged whenever working. Please use outdoor space for lunging whenever possible.
ARRIVALS: Horses will be allowed in to the show grounds, and stalls will be available at 9:00 am on Tuesday, April 9th. Stalls must be vacated by noon, on Sunday April 14th.
BEDDING: Bedding must be purchased through the horse show at the rate of $9.00 per bag. For pre-bedding orders, to have your bedding delivered, and even to have your stalls bedded for you prior to your arrival, please contact Sandy Sessink at 248-207-4956. If you would like your stalls pre-bedded, we will make the connections to have it done for a per stall rate of $12. This can all be charged to your show office open account.
BOX SEATS: Please see the form included in this prize list for information regarding Sponsor’s Sky Lounge seating. Tables will be available with some of our sponsorship levels. These will be located up on the mezzanine along with Ken Martin’s photo booth, the silent auction and the restaurant and bar.
CAMPING: There is a campground directly across the street from the Michiana Event Center. Each and every spot has full hook-up, with both 30 and 50 amp electric, and sewer. The cost is $35 per night, and you will pay the campgrounds directly. The show office will not handle camping permits at all. If you have any questions, or would like to
make reservations, please call Brian Lambright at 260-336-6009.
CLASS HOLD POLICY: In order to put together an exact, predictable time schedule, available to all exhibitors prior to each session, class holds must be requested in writing no less than one hour prior to the start of the session. Please use class hold request forms at the show office. Anyone with special requests for more than the standard two minute hold must make special arrangement with the show manager no less than two hours before the session. Once a hold is granted, it will not be lifted.
ENTRIES: Please send entries to: Julie Christopher 7533 Earhart Rd. South Lyon, MI 48178 with a postmark no later than March 11th. Entries received with a later postmark date will be subject to a $25 per horse post entry fee. There will be no exceptions to the post entry policy.
On line entries will be accepted via www.horseshowing.com. Simply click on our show and follow the instructions. If you need help please call or email the secretary. Riders in this division are students who are currently taking lessons and are to be judged on their basic riding skills. The age of the rider must be listed on the entry blank. Headers for lead line riders must be at least 18 years of age. Horses that are used are to be lesson horses (see horse eligibility). Horses are not to be judged. Rider Eligibility: A rider may not enter in any other division at the show. A rider who has shown in a regular division or in a full riding suit at any show is prohibited from participating further in the Academy Division, with the exception of the Show Rider Classes. Once a rider has competed at any level wearing a full suit, they are ineligible to compete in academy classes at any point thereafter; the rider can however show in Show Rider Classes in the season(s) following the season in which the rider showed wearing a full suit. Horse Eligibility: All horses/ponies used in Academy classes must be used regularly in lesson programs. All breeds are welcome. Horses used in Tournament classes can cross enter into the regular horse show classes with different riders. Equipment: Horses may be shown in work bridles (martingales allowed), Pelham bridles, or full bridles. There are no shoeing restrictions or requirements. Protective boots are allowed. Rider Attire: Helmets approved for horseback riding (not bicycle helmets) are mandatory for all exhibitors. Riders must wear appropriate boots.
