Church Directory—Update We are working with Lifetouch Church Photography for our church directory. Because of COVID-19, Lifetouch temporarily paused its operations due to a shortage of staff. Lifetouch recently acknowl-edged the receipt of all of the final updates and corrections that were submitted to them, and they have given a time-frame for completion of approximately two months, but this depends on whether Lifetouch is able to keep to the timeline they have given us for completion. We will update you further if we receive additional information. Online Opportunity to Write a Will In uncertain times, the best thing we can do is to make a plan for the future. The Diocese of Austin is offering an online resource to help everyone in our Catholic community write a will and protect the things that God has blessed them with. Best of all, the resource is completely free to use. Take 20 minutes today to get peace of mind and create a legacy to support schools and parishes in Central Texas. Get started at www.FreeWill.com/AustinDiocese. Holy Family Catholic Church Fried Chicken Dinner Holy Family Catholic Church in Lexington will host a fried chicken dinner on Sunday, October 4th at the HFCC Parish Activity Center, 1097 East FM 696, Lexington, Tx. A bilingual Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. A “drive-through” meal will be served starting at 11 a.m. until sold out. There will be spaghetti and Mexican food, including tacos, tortas,

quesadillas and tamales.

Catholic Social Teaching Corner In the Gospels Jesus is always challenging the boxes we like to create: like the boxes for “good” and “bad”. It is human to create such boxes, but Jesus wants us to realize that we are al-ways called to see as God sees and not as human beings see. That is not easy, and it takes great humility and con-stant conversion to see every person, even those whose lives are a contradiction to our values as loved by God, and even as potential saints. Jesus was able to do this, and calls us to do the same. EIM Compliance EIM Policies require all clergy, religious, seminarians, employees and

adult volunteers serving in a ministry to submit an EIM Application

for Ministry (one-time only) and attend an EIM Workshop at least

once every three years. New employees and new volunteers currently

active in ministry should complete the EIM Application at

www.eappsdb.com/austin as a First Time Applicant. Limited EIM

Workshops resumed in August for new applicants, and are for mem-

bers of the host parish only at this time; contact your parish EIM site

administrator for workshop status at your location. In the meantime,

temporary online EIM training is available at www.austindiocese.org/

workshop for persons needing to update their compliance; the training

page includes instructions on how to login to your EIM account to

find information you will need to provide in order to receive credit for

completing the training. For more information, call (512) 949-2447.

Oct. 3, Virtual Retreat: Listening to the Voice of God Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center will offer virtually the Listening to the Voice of God Retreat on Oct. 3 from 9-2 p.m. Grow in a deeper relationship with God by learning how the Lord speaks to us in our everyday life. Mass Attendance Information St. Mary’s and Holy Rosary will follow the state mandated guideline that requires persons 10 years of age and older that enter the parish to wear a face mask. We will also continue to keep 6 feet of distance between families. Mass attendance will still be limited to 25% capaci-ty. Livestream Masses will be on Sundays at 8:00 am on the Holy Rosary Facebook Page and 10:00 am on the St. Mary’s Facebook Page. Attention Hospitality Teams All Hospitality Team Members must request that all parishioners, as they enter the building, put on a mask for Mass. There are masks available on the table for those that do not have one. This is a man-

date from the State of Texas and we must adhere to it. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. We are united in Christ and will get through this together. Spiritual Communion “Jesus, truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament, I love You above all things and I desire to possess You within my soul. Since I am una-ble at this moment to receive You sacramentally, come at least spirit-ually into my heart. I embrace You as being already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.” -St. Alphonsus Ligouri
