Introduction. Thank you for purchasingone of our Speedfit Aura WirelessThermostat models. It must be used withthe JGCO Wireless Coordinator. TheWireless Coordinator allows communicationwith other devices in the Aura Wirelesssystem range including wiring centre,Wireless boiler receiver and Wireless TRV.

Emergency. Switch off thevoltage to the individualthermostat, wiring centre orcomplete system.

Sources of danger. Thethermostat must be disconnectedfrom mains supply beforeremoving the cover.

Installer parameter settings.JG Aura wireless thermostats areequipped with an Installer Parametersection (see website). This must onlybe entered by the installer or acompetent person. Changing theseparameters can have a seriouseffect on your heating system.

230 ACWarning. This product must befitted by a competent person.Installation must comply with theguidance, standards andregulations applicable to thelocation where the product isinstalled. Failure to comply with therequirements of the relevantguidance, standards andregulations could lead toprosecution, injury or death.

These instructions are applicable to theAura models stated on the front cover ofthis Instruction Manual only.

Warning. Always isolate the ACMains supply before installing orworking on any components thatrequire 230v AC 50Hz supply.

Probe / Hot Water CylinderTerminals. Can be used forexternal Air or Floor probe whenconfigured as thermostat. Canalso be used for Cylinderthermostat connection whenconfigured as a Timer.

To commence system installation, press and hold the button for 5 seconds. The buttonwill start to flash red indicating that the Zigbee network is ready to accept JG Aura devices.

Coordinator set-up


After setting up, the Coordinator will assign theWiring Centre a number. This is because morethan 1 Wiring Centre may be used on a project.Pressing the network button will illuminate therelevant number. The example shown is forWiring Centre 1. If 1 and 2 are lit it would beWiring Centre 2.

The JGBR default setting is RX1 (Wireless Boiler Receiver). In thismode, the JGBR will switch on the boiler in response to a call for heat.

To set as a wireless receiver, switch to RX2. The wireless receiver willbe paired to just one chosen thermostat on the network. Thisthermostat will switch the wireless receiver when there is a call for heat.

Thermostat returns to home screen and the pairing is finished.Testing: Set thermostat to high temperature and wait for a call forheat. Check that the thermostat is communicating with the correctzone on the paired wiring centre.

Thermostat returns to home screen. Testing: Set tocall for heat. Check TRV’s are opening and BoilerReceiver is receiving the signal. Turn down thethermostat and check TRV’s shut and boiler receiverturns off.

Next press arrow on thermostat to start pairingprocess. Do not press Confirm as it will abortthe pairing process and user will have to start again.

Press Pairing Button on TRV(s) for 10seconds until pairing light on the TRV startsto flash. Maximum of 6 TRV’s can be pairedat the same time.

If thermostat only finds 1 to 5 TRV’s it willcontinue to search until user presses Confirm
