Scotts & Major League Baseball’s PITCH, HIT & RUN is a free, national program that offers boys and girls ages 7-14 the chance to showcase their baseball & softball abilities. This free event is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the fun element of the sport. Boys and girls compete together in four different age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. Join us for an enjoyable morning of birds and bagels! We’ll start with refreshments, then venture out into the marsh for a bird walk. After the walk, we return to the Spring Creek Education Building for an informational presentation. No registration is required, program lasts approximately 2 hours and is open to birders of any age or experience level. This program is free, but donations are appreciated. A Nature Program for Preschoolers at Millbrook Marsh Nature CenterSupplement your preschooler's experience with nature and learning! The Puddle Jumpers program provides children with opportunities to develop a foundation of learning through encounters in the natural world. This twice a week, drop off program offers 3-hour sessions of nature learning for kids ages 3-5, including unstructured, imaginative exploration, and structured, hands on learning. Knee High Naturalists programs are one hour in length and include both indoor and outdoor activities; please dress for the weather. Parents are encouraged to stay and enjoy! Lifeguarding (American Red Cross Certification)This course provides the skills and information necessary to become a professional lifeguard. Candidates must pass a pre-test of swimming skills. The skills include (1) a 300 yard continuous swim (2) tread water for 2 minutes without stopping or support, and (3) a timed event involv-ing a 20 yard swim, a surface dive to 10 feet to recover a 10 pound object, and a 20-yard swim with a 10 pound object. Successful candidates receive certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR for the professional rescuer (which includes adult, child, infant and AED).
Note: This course will require students to complete approximately 7 hours of on-line coursework prior to the course completion date. Students MUST have access to a computer and the internet in order to complete this work.

The gardens consist of 57 single plots (300 sq. ft. for $27 per year plus $27 security deposit) and 53 double plots (600 sq. ft. for $50 per year plus $50 security deposit). For the young adventurer who is excited about getting hands-on with nature! Come to Millbrook Marsh to discover wonders of the outdoors through leader-led activities, games, songs, and unstructured nature play. Children will explore the marsh and learn about some of the animals and plants that inhabit the wetland ecosystem. Please dress for the weather and plan to get messy! This 3-day camp is open to teens who want to learn how to sketch and paint outside, or “en plein air”, in the positive and enriching environment of the Millbrook Marsh. Campers will work with local artist Susan Nicholas Gephart, who believes in nurturing the “Artist’s Spirit” of the individual artist. Susan’s “tried and true” tips for “plein air” painting, will teach the young artist skills they will be able to use anywhere and anytime. • If you register by mail or drop-box, please fully complete and enclose the form on page 55 withpayment. A Registration Receipt will be returned which confirms the registration(s) and payment(s).
• If you register by internet, phone or fax (credit cards only), a Registration Receipt will be returnedby email or postal mail which confirms the registration(s) and payment(s).
• A “Health & Safety Form” must be filled out prior to the first day of camp and is available onthe CRPR website at www.crpr.org. This form provides important safety information about your child for camp leaders.
• Camp spaces are limited; the camps fill quickly. Waiting lists will be established for each week afterthe camps fill. CRPR will contact registrants on the waiting list if/when an opening becomes available.
DAY CAMP REGISTRATIONS (All camps)
The following payment plan is available for the Wee KIDVenture and KIDVenture Camps:Payment in full for at least the first two weeks per child is due at the time of registration.Payment deadlines for subsequent weeks are listed below and payments must be made according to the schedule below.The agency may cancel registrations if payments are not made as scheduled.

DAY CAMP PAYMENT PLAN
• Campers are placed by CRPR staff intogroups according to grade or age. • Campers must provide their own lunchand drink (no glass bottles). • KIDVenture & Wetlands campers shouldbring a snack each day. Refrigeration is not available.• Since most activities occur out-of-doors,campers are encouraged to wear play clothes and sneakers. KIDVenture camps swim Monday, Wednesday & Friday after-noons (including the first day of camp each week), weather-permitting. • Program content may change due to en-rollment and available resources.• Canoe, Kayak, Boating Adventures &Fly-Fishing Camp participants are required to attend a Safety Evaluation and pass a swim safety test.
• Program fees are not prorated, refunded orcredited based upon attendance. • A $5 processing fee will be charged for eachweek that is cancelled.• If a refund request is made 7 calendardays or more before the first day of the camp session, a full refund (less a $5 admin. processing fee) is provided for the camp.•If a refund request is made 7 calendar daysor less before the first day of camp, a full refund (less a $5 admin. processing fee) is provided for the camp ONLY IF a partici-pant from the wait list can be placed in the reserved slot.
