GRP grit containerTrendsetting developments in grit containers

The working life of GRP grit containers is well over 20 years. The oldest GRP grit containers have already been on the roadside for over 40 years while being exposed to all weather year and year out. This 40 year demonstration has shown that GRP can sustain such

conditions continuously while weather and salt do not degrade its properties.Unfortunately, grit containers are also affected by the increase in vandalism in towns, schools and public places. Therefore CEMO introduced a new grit container lid

to the market in 2005 – resisting destruction. Particularly impact resistant material and increased wall thickness mean that it fulfils important requirements for installation in public places such as train and bus stations, schools, etc.

Grit container handling [PG 8]

Loading frameFor loading and emptying of filled grit containers with a truck crane.

This innovative handling concept was developed in conjunction with the municipal authorities. Based on the grit box, it is now possible to make full use of the advantages (lid removable

without tools). Using the hydraulic loading bracket, the grit box can now be picked up, emptied and stored by a single person. Thus reducing time, space and personnel costs to a minimum.
