From Fabric A, fussy cut:one 21-1/2” x 42-1/2” center panel
From Fabric B, cut:four 2” x WOF strips. Subcut:
two 2” x 42-1/2” side Border 1 stripstwo 2” x 24-1/2” top/bottom Border 1 strips
five 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together, end-to-end, then cut:two 2” x 51-1/2” side Border 5 stripstwo 2” x 33-1/2” top/bottom Border 5 strips
From Fabric C, cut:eight 1-1/2” x WOF strips. Subcut:
twenty 1-1/2” squares Sew the remaining strips together, end-to-end, then cut: four 1-1/2” x 45-1/2” side Border 2 and Border 4 stripsfour 1-1/2” x 24-1/2” top/bottom Border 2 and Border 4 strips
From Fabric D, cut:one 2-1/2” x WOF strip. Subcut:
four 2-1/2” squaresten 1-1/2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together, end-to-end, then cut:

From Fabric E, cut:two 1-1/2” x WOF strips. Subcut:

three 1-1/2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together, end-to-end, then cut:two 1-1/2” x 45-1/2” side Border 3 stripseight 1-1/2” squares
five 2-1/2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together, end-to-end, then cut:two 2-1/2” x 56-1/2” side Border 7 stripstwo 2-1/2” x 35-1/2” top/bottom Border 7 strips
From Fabric F, cut:two 7” x length of fabric strips. Then trim:
two 7” x 62-1/2” side Border 9 stripsfour strips 7” x the remaining WOF. Sew the strips together, end-to-end,
then cut: two 7” x 54-1/2” top/bottom Border 9 strips

Step 1: Sew the Fabric B side Border 1 strips to the sides of the quilt center. Press toward the borders. Sew the Fabric B top and bottom Border 1 strips to the quilt center. Press toward the borders.
Step 3: Gather: five 1-1/2” Fabric C squares
four 1-1/2” Fabric E squares
Arrange in three rows of three to form a nine-patch, as shown. Note the placement of the E squares.
Assemble the Quilt Center

Step 4: Sew the squares together to form rows. Press the rows to the left in the odd numbered rows and to the right in the even numbered rows. Sew the rows together to form the block. Press the row seams open. The block should measure 3-1/2” square. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to make a total of four blocks.

Step 5: Sew a Fabric E top/bottom Border 3 strip between two Fabric C top/bottom Border 2 and 4 strips, along the longest side. Press toward the darker fabric. Repeat to make a second unit like this.
Step 6: Sew a Fabric E side Border 3 strip between two Fabric C side Border 2 and 4 strips, along the longest side. Press toward the darker fabric. Repeat to make a second unit like this.
Step 7: Sew the completed Step 6 units to the sides of the quilt center. Press.
Step 8: Sew a completed Step 4 block each end of a completed Step 5 unit, matching the Fabric E pieces. Press. Repeat to make a second unit like this.
Step 9: Sew the completed Step 8 units to the top and bottom of the quilt center. Press.

Step 10: Sew the Fabric B side Border 5 strips to the sides of the quilt center. Press toward the borders. Sew the Fabric B top and bottom Border 5 strips to the quilt center. Press toward the borders.
Step 11: Sew the Fabric D side Border 6 strips to the sides of the quilt center. Press toward the borders. Sew the Fabric D top and bottom Border 6 strips to the quilt center. Press toward the borders.
Step 12: Sew the Fabric E side Border 7 strips to the sides of the quilt center. Press toward the borders. Sew a Fabric D square to each end of the Fabric E top/bottom Border 7 strips. Press. Sew to the top and bottom of the quilt center. Press.
Step 13: Sew the Fabric D side Border 8 strips to the sides of the quilt center. Press toward the borders. Sew the Fabric D top and bottom Border 8 strips to the quilt center. Press toward the borders.Step 14: Sew the Fabric F side Border 9 strips to the sides of the quilt center. Press toward the borders. Sew the Fabric F top and bottom Border 9 strips to the quilt center. Press toward the borders.
Your quilt top is complete. Baste, quilt, bind and enjoy!
