Students will participate in homestay rather than private dorms. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to immerse themselves into a new culture and to practice their language skills. Homestay is an enriching experience that allows the student to feel at home while living in a completely different country.

If you get bored of
cooing at the baby monkeys scurrying in the canopy and scanning for birds and sloths, the turquoise waves and perfect sand provide endless entertainment. The rainforested hills and the blissful beaches make the park a stunning destination worthy of the hype.
Visit to Coffee & Chocolate Plantation
During this one-of-a-kind journey, you will enjoy: Lush green areas and gardens Exhibition of giant puppets of Costa Rican folklore The coffee bush nursery Our sustainable coffee plantation The coffee roastery A coffee-tasting demonstration An enjoyable skit about the history and culture of coffee in Costa Rica A session on tasting coffees and chocolates
During this half day excursion, you will experience the original Costa Rican coffee tour at Café Britt’s farm located in Barva de Heredia to learn about and share their passion for Costa Rican coffee. Experts will guide you through the lifecycle of gourmet coffee. You can see firsthand how Costa Rica’s unique climate and diverse landscapes provide perfect growing conditions for gourmet coffee beans.
Community Service Day at La Carpio Practice Social Justice & Helping others with a day Possible activities: No más Drogas (No more Drugs) No más Violencia (No more Violence) No más Latas (No more Tin Houses) No más Lagrimas (No more Tears) Example Itinerary 9:30 A.M. Arrival at La Carpio Orientation Walking tour of the community Students divide in groups to work in different areas of the community. Build zinc walls in front of the homes to improve the image of the community. Work with the children in the classrooms or in the mobile library, play games, and do art projects. 1:00 PM Lunch 1:30 PM The “abuelas” women of La Carpio put on a short play about their lives 2:00 P.M.
