  Snow Driving Tips

§ Gently scrape off snow if you can’t see out the windshield, § To avoid scratching the vehicle paint, avoid scraping or

brushing it off – instead, get most of it off and let the car warm up and melt the rest.

§ Accelerate slowly and avoid quick or jack-rabbit starts. § Gently tap the brakes to slow down & anticipate your

stops by lifting off the gas pedal. Downshift if you can with the automatic or manual transmission.

§ If you have to brake hard, just push down and hold so the anti-lock brakes kick in – don’t pump. Steer into the skid if you can.

§ Avoid accelerating while turning. § Look for snow build-up around the tires.
