Dr. Annette Nietfeld is Managing Director of the Forum für Zukun-
ftsenergien e.V. and EFO Energie Forum GmbH, which is owned
by the association.
She started her professional career as a research assistant at the
Federal Environment Agency of Germany. After several positions
at a municipality and a trade union she joined Deutsche Bank AG
in 1994. There she was responsible for contracting-projects, project
financing and customer-oriented public relations. In 2000 she be-
came Managing Director of Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Umweltfragen
e.V. (Association for environmental matters) and changed to the
Forum für Zukunftsenergien e.V. in 2004.
Annette Nietfeld is a graduate and also holds a PhD in Ecosystem
Research.

of DSO regulation for gas and electricity, sector coupling and renewa-
ble gas. Head of Department for EU Energy Policy. Since 2012 chair
of the Eurogas Distribution Committee.

Patrick ADIGBLI is Head of Public & Regulatory Affairs at the Europe-an Power Exchange EPEX SPOT. The exchange operates short term electricity markets in Central Western Europe and Great Britain. In 2017, over 280 companies traded 535 TWh. EPEX SPOT is held by EEX Group, part of Deutsche Börse, and a holding of European transmission system operators.
Patrick ADIGBLI represents the company towards governmental insti-tutions and regulatory authorities, and is member of various commit-tees in energy industry associations. Within EPEX SPOT, he leads the assessment and implementation of European and national energy regulation. Building on his trilingual proficiency and expertise, he regu-larly speaks at international conferences and publishes in specialized journals.
Patrick ADIGBLI has ten years of experience in the energy industry. Starting in automation systems (2004-2006), he progressed in the financial sector (2007-2008). He then joined a leading business-consulting firm, where he performed engagements for energy multina-tionals such as EDF & TOTAL (2008-2011). After working on product and market development in the strategy department, he contributes to building up the Public & Regulatory Affairs department during the post-merger integration of EPEX SPOT and APX (2011-2017).
He holds two Masters of Engineering from École Centrale Paris and Munich University of Technology (electrical engineering, robotics, in-dustrial automation). He acquired an Executive MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs. He holds a certified qualification in energy and network regulation from the Florence School of Regulation (Robert Schuman Center).

Helge Fischer graduated in mathematics and made his doctoral de-
gree in business administration and computer science. He started at
WINGAS in 2006 and was active in the fields of transport and storage
logistics as well as regulatory affairs. Helge changed his job to the gas
grid operator WINGAS Transport (today: Gascade) in 2010 and took
over responsibilities for the energy procurement and business devel-
opment projects. From 2012 to 2016, he was heading a sales division
for natural gas. Now, Helge takes care about of macro-economic anal-
ysis and energy-political and regulatory issues as head of the division
“Gas Industry Fundamentals”.

Dr. Brigitta Huckestein is Senior Manager Energy and Climate Policy
at BASF SE. She studied Chemistry at the Georg-August University in
Göttingen. In 1991 she joined BASF´s plastics research and headed a
laboratory where she developed products for new applications and
improved production processes. After that, she initiated, led and ac-
companied a range of technical, communication and advocacy pro-
jects in various functions in the plastics department. Key focus were
plastics recycling, sustainability and energy efficiency of plastics.
Since 2008 her focus is on energy and climate policy, e.g. energy effi-
ciency of buildings and in industry, Emission Trading and global cli-
mate policies. She is active in several industry and chemicals associa-
tions on international and national level, e.g. ICCA, Cefic, BDI.

Florian Bauernfeind Policy & Regulatory Advisor EU Vattenfall GmbH
Florian Bauernfeind is Policy and Regulatory Advisor within Vatten-
fall’s Public and Regulatory Affairs department. In this role, he focuses on EU and national renewables policies and regulation in Vattenfall’s core renewables markets. He studied Political Science at the Universi-
ties of Leipzig, Lyon, and Mainz, followed by a Master’s degree in EU International Relations and Diplomacy at the College of Europe in
Bruges. In 2012, he started his professional career as a Parliamentary
Assistant to MEP Manfred Weber, and later to MEP Christa Klass.
From 2014 to 2016, he was Policy Advisor at Vattenfall’s EU Office in Brussels. Since 2016, he works as Policy & Regulatory Advisor at
Vattenfall’s Berlin headquarters.

Catharina Geiselhart is a Senior Consultant in the Energy & Utilities
Team of PwC. Her focus is on the digital transformation of power &
utility companies. This includes smart metering, smart home, business
analytics and blockchain technology. Catharina Geiselhart is the au-
thor of the study “The developing role of Blockchain in the energy sec-
tor” in partnership with the World Energy Council. She is based in Ber-
lin, Germany. Currently Catharina Geiselhart advises different Euro-
pean utility companies in the development of Blockchain-based busi-
ness models, prototypes and proof-of-concepts. She studied in France
and holds a master degree in international affairs with the focus on
economics of energy. She is fluent in French, English and German."
