More Students Impacted as New Brackenhurst MiniStaff Arrive in Kenya

This year is of to a ast start in Kenya, and one o the places thatthis is evident is on our student ministries team. The Lord has answeredour prayer or more people to work with students in a dramatic ashion.Jason has stepped in as a male leader at youth group so he has beenmeeting with the student leaders, discipling guys in small group timeat youth group, and sharing some o the speaking responsibility or the

larger group. He has also jumped in to help out as the assistant coach othe Rosslyn varsity basketball team. Stephen and Andrew are pluggingin to student work by coaching rugby this spring.

Lexi joined the team in February and is already getting involved atthe international school. She is helping with the middle and high schoolspring plays, which will give her an opportunity to begin building rela-tionships in those circles. Michelle arrived this month and is beginningto work with the students at Rosslyn and is helping coach volleyball. Shehas years o experience in youth ministry in a church so working withthe missionary kids will be a natural t or her. We’ve added two more

student ministries staf that will be joining the team in August. We are so

go deeper with students. Thissemester the Lord has answered

this prayer and the rst ISK BibleStudy has started! Each weekAmanda and Lexi meet with 5 or6 girls and walk them throughthe book o John. Most o thegirls come rom Christian amilies and are trying to determine whatthis aith means to them personally. We are praying that these girlswould soon invite their non-Christian riends. The vast majority ostudents at the International School do not know Christ so we askthat you would pray that this group would continue to grow andreach out to students who need Jesus.

thank ul or the new team members that the Lord has brought to us so ar this year! We ask you tothat the Lord would give them many opportunities to get to know students, and that students in Nariobiwould come to know Christ!

Rock climbing has always been a key component o our minis-try in Kenya. Not only does it provide great opportunities to build anddeepen relationships, but it is also a unique skill possessed by our teamthat enables us to serve the international community. In addition totaking people climbing outdoors, it has always been our dream to have

an indoor climbing gym in Nairobi. We hope to use it as a ministry basethat will give us a year round touch point or relational ministry. Sinceour camp and teambuilding acility is an hour away rom Nairobi, aRock Room will give us a place nearby where we can spend time withkids and young adults as well as market our camp and adventure pro-grams.

In late January, Stephen, Ja-son, and Andrew joined our teamand began working on the RockRoom project. They spent their rst month researching possiblelocations. They have looked at options including renting a spot in alocal mall and building a acility, both o which were very expensive. They have decided the best way orward is to rent an existing acil-ity so you can join us in praying or a building in the right locationwith the right building structure at a good price. As we completethe research, we will be able to put together an accurate budget orthis project; but or right now, we are estimating that we will need

$45,000 this year to complete this project. Would you consider giv-ing to this project so that more lives can be impacted in Nairobi?

Planning and registration or Camp BlueSky areully underway. This summer’s theme will be Rescue which

comes rom Colossians 1:13-14, “For He has rescued us romthe dominion o darkness and brought us into the kingdomo the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the

orgiveness o sins.” We are so looking orward sharing thenews o the redemption that we have through the Rescuer.

This summer we will have the opportunity to sharethe Good News o Jesus with the next generation o world

leaders as kids rom every corner o the globe come tocamp. The kids that come to camp are the children o po-litical, humanitarian, and business lead-ers rom all over theworld. What an awe-some opportunity theLord has given us toimpact these childrenand their amilies withthe Gospel. Please be
